why AA's? unless your last camera purchase was 10 years ago, lithium-ion battery packs have come a long way and last much longer than old rechargable batts.

Canon's point n shoots i believe are the best. Best bang for your buck. I've owned a few over the years as well as their 5D MKII and 7D DSLR's.

Huh? Thanks for the advice but I meant a camera like Nikon's CoolPix which runs on Energizer's Lithium Double AA batteries.

I do not want a camera that only uses its own brand of battery. It has happened when the battery runs out and there are still plenty of pictures left to take.
