Bengals Are Bringing Chris Henry Back..

they asking for trouble....

I love Marvin Lewis...but he has to go soon with their GM...that team is in shambles right now...on and off the field....:smh:

Fuck it...what do they got to lose..put the best team out there :hmm:

their best is still terrible...this won't help shit...a defense that allows over 21 points a game....?

a Offense hurt and crying with off the field issues?

one of the best teams on paper but don't do shit...

Chris henry is not even that nice to have as many chances as he has....

I guess you could say that...even though you put him on our squad right now and he would be the second best wr :hmm:

Its all good tho we ready to GO!

:dance::dance::dance:

DALLAS should have picked him up 4 real....fuck Crayton (sp?)

that drop in the playoffs pretty much cost ya'll the game....

and he talks shit...:hmm:

With the problems we're having with our defense[basic tackling] we need all the OFFENSE we can get. Hopefully Chris Henry has his head together by now. A great Offense > great Defense.

Note: This pickup could be seen as strategy also. It was rumored that the Steeler s and the Ravens were considering C. Henry. We dont wanna see C. Henry with one our division rivals against our lack luster secondary.

Prediction: Bengals are 9-7 this season.

I think Mike Zimmer will help get you guys defense together...he shaped up the Cowboys defense a couple of years back when it was pretty bad

9-7 realistic

defense----->offense

most 'ships are won on the defense....which the BENGALS are terrible at...

I know this is crazy....but MARVIN has to go...:smh:

No argument here...I been saying Marvin has to go. The players just dont respect him and it shows in the off-field antics that goes on with the players as of recent. That coupled with Mike Brown bull-headed ass who refuses to pay for a better defense and defensive coordinator = recipe for destruction.

I still say a great offense beats a great defense 6 times of of 10.

analogy:
The championship RAMS would beat the championship RAVENS.

I hope so. Mike Zimmer is a decent d-coordinator and didnt do a bad job with the Falcons either. The first thing he needs to go over with this ninjas is how-to-tackle...shit is embarassing how many mis-tackles i seen on fairly basic plays last season.

honestly i feel you...especially with Marvin and the team....

but
the PATS greatest scoring team in history...Giants held them to their fewest points of the season....

DEFENSE IMO wins 'ships in most sports....

Lol@ this shit.

*puts sports bully cap on* If your theory was true, that means Buffalo should of destroyed Dallas right? How about Rams and the Patriots? Better yet, the Giants didn't have NO reason beating the Patriots last year, and the patriots had one of the ALL time great offenses in NFL history. So, please, go get Madden, practice, read up on championship teams, talk to some coaches, and then revise your analogy because you really sound stupid right now.

What wins championships is balance. A good offense with a great defense has won majority of Super Bowls. Thats a fucking fact.

I agree...but no need to bite dudes head off....

true...Ravens...decent offense great defense

celtics and Lakers

Defense wins 'ships....

you can drop 35 points a game and still lose....

I really don't admire a high powered offense...I really enjoy a Giants Defense or ravens....

lol i like being the sports bully..thats all.

The Bengals problems came when they lost Odell Thurman. When he was playing, They actually played defense. I don't know what his problem is but he's the real reason why the Bengals ain't been shit the last few years.

This is a great football move with all the injuries on offense and none of the rookie wideouts stepping up, but in the grand scheme, this makes Marvin look like shit and shows just how little power he has. He stood up in front of the press and talked for the past few months about how the Bengals were moving on and focusing on "good character" guys and that there was no chance Henry was coming back. Now he's got to eat all that shit.

The Bengals are one of the few teams that don't have a GM... it's all Mike Brown (the owner) making these decisions. Marvin gets wrapped for drafting all these headcases and not ungrading the defense but I point the finger at Mike Brown. He's the one that's not giving him anything to work with on that side of the ball. The biggest free agent they've signed in the past few years was Antwon Odom, this year from Tennessee.

lol@actinass

go get madden and study up? sure...aight brah.

yes balance does win championships I'm not arguing that but it does not change the fact that offensive gaints such as '93-'94 Dallas, '06 Colts, '00 Rams, Montana's 49ers, '97 Packers, 92 Redskins and etc got to the superbowl because of their superb Offenses. I wouldnt consider these squads stated above "great" defenses...good, yes...but not great.

If all it took was a great defense to win championships the ravens should have 3-peated real spit.

Vandamation...you're correct sir, when they lost Thurman it was all downhill. He was the leader of the linebacker core and brought amazing energy and intensity to the defense at a whole.

Well said brah. M. Brown aka the control freak has his father Paul Brown turning in his grave.

but it was Marvin that wanted known trouble makers from college...Thurman was one...and it blew up in his face....

Actually, I'm not a 100% sure that Marvin wanted Odell. Coming from the system he came from in Baltimore, I know his focus was to find man to put at Mike Linebacker and be the face of his defense like Ray Lewis, so I can maybe see him taking the gamble but I'm willing to put money down that he didn't want to take the gamble on Henry, or Ahmad Brooks in the supplemental draft. I'm not even sure he wanted Chris Perry in the 1st round in 2004. He's been a good guy but he stays hurt. When they drafted Perry they already had Rudi Johnson, and they left good defensive players on the board who could have solidified things like Karlos Dansby or Igor Olshansky.

Plus, Mike Brown has been on the record numerous times talking about how he likes to give guys a "second" chance.

another sign marvin will be gone if they dont make the playoffs and win at least one game
Marvin said he didnt want Henry back at all ever

I used to scoff when I read shit like this because Mike Brown is too cheap to fire anyone with money left on their contract and Marvin's got like $10 Million left, I think.

I actually heard someone speculate recently that it'll be Marvin's last year but he won't be fired... he'll actually leave on his own. That shit don't seem too crazy now.

It's a good football move because they need help and he is very talented but the Bengals need to show some discipline with their organization. You get what u pay 4!

i was lookin at marvin's win loss and off/def standings as head coach there and he's back where he started. that along with mgmt contradicting him publicly is a sign
he hasnt really done what he should have with the talent they had
a defensive coach whos offense has been better than his d :smh: marvin needs another situation or to stay a defensive coordinator- he aint horrible but I cant see him winning rings
it aint all his fault either - you can't just focus on offense and that's the owner

.

No freaking way that would ever happen. That Ravens superbowl defense was one of the best in history. Remeber, the Rams only beat the Titans in the superbowl 23-16. The superbowl Ravens had a much better defense then that Titans tean did.

Remember, Great defense always beats great offense. Thats why they say Defense wins championships.
