Dnt know if I would live here.... housing is ridiculously exspensive. The weed is good, the food is alright, the chicks ore nice, the hospital emergency room is surprisingly pleasant & clean as fuk, & the huge ass mall across the street from it is nice.

Being centrally located is important. Nothing is as close as tv would have you believe.

The construction in some places clashes with the landscape. The old & new just done mix well out here.

Baldwin Hills is some bullshit. Old ass homes from the 50's & 60's now worth 5 or 6 million.

Living in the hills / on the side of a mountain seems to be the shit here... it also cost the most.

The weed spots have nice deals on bud.... some spots are better than others.

Lots of Asians & Mexicans ...

Sales tax is crazy af here.

I created my own set.... gangster bloodycrips
I'm banging on all you fools....

Malibu is desert mountain farm land you cant farm facing the most beautiful beach ever..... water is cold af.

That's the one thing I hate about Cali beaches.....especially Newport Beach and Laguna Beach.....the water is ice fucking cold.

facing the most beautiful beach ever.....
ok relax

i grew up in ft lauderdale and we have the best beach period
water is cold af.
the water is ice fucking cold.
when i saw cali movies with bonfires i never could understand

why would you need a fire next to the warm ocean

in cali you could freeze to death on the 3rd street promenade (the mall across the street from the beach)

Amusingly specific feedback... LA has only one hospital emergency room? Major props to the city for keeping it clean.

Yo.... no dog shit on the streets.... I've seen nobody on the corners begging for money.
.only 2 or 3 individual homeless tent setups. It's a crazy sight when it's on a block that has high rent Apts & million dollar homes....

Having a million dollar homes isn't the same as having a million dollar home in atlanta, NJ, or NY... Conn is the king.

Out here living on the mountain is the equivalent to the floor you live on in $$$Manhattan. They pay for the view & it's famn near worth it.... shit changes the vision you have in life..... add some bitches & smfh.

Shit makes sense like a mufukka... like wearing a zip up Hoodia during the sunny as fuk day. It looks hot...... looks....

You summed it up pretty good, OP.

Baldwin Hills used to be called "The Black Beverly Hills."

It doesn't sound like you went to the hood. Because if you did, you would have seen tent cities under some freeway overpasses, especially on the 110 Freeway (The Harbor Freeway). They're trying to clean things up for the upcoming Olympics. But, they're just going to sweep shit under the rug. They aren't serious about the homeless problem here. And it is a BIG problem.

I wanted to take the train to see some different hood shit.... all my clothes are neutral as fuk but I just didn't make the time.

There must be two different LA's. Because when I went there in 2021 during Halloween there were homeless people everywhere all on side of the freeway with their gravity defying tents on the hills of the freeway. There were homeless close to the hotel not far from where the Lakers were playing. The only place that wasn't filthy was Beverly Hills

Born and raised in Inglewood. I’ve lived in the Dallas area since 2005. I love to come home and visit, but would never consider moving back. My dad bought the house we grew up in 1969 for 72k and we sold it for 250k in 1983. It’s now worth 1.2 million. My sisters live in an apartment where you can literally see our childhood home from their front porch. It still looks nice. But to live the same middle class lifestyle we grew up with now costs 1.2 million.

Real talk, you did good doing what you did.

LA can be a really dangerous place. I know most states have some very dangerous cities, but I know LA. There can be random violence with no rhyme or reason to it. Crips will prey on other Crips, and some Bloods will prey on other Bloods. If you're not familiar with gang culture, or you have no family to roll with... leave the hood be!

Even though I'm from the hood, I tell people, "don't go to the hood"; and if you're not Mexican, don't go to East LA.

I went to an Angels game in LA (actually Anaheim). I wore shorts and a t-shirt. :smh: The temp went from the 90's to the low 50's :frozen:. This was mid summer. What I remember the most is the bad traffic, lots of people, lots of Mexicans and Asians. Oh yeah the mountains and hills tripped me out.
