I am working on a small project and I am doing my research. I designing my setup, I picked Bose and I thought it was good.

What's your opinion on Bose?:dunno:

i dont find bose comfortable on the ear

sony more comfort but sound is better with bose
but i use my sony more, jsut cause its so comfortable

It just depends on what kind of audio setup you're talking about. Generally speaking, though, Bowers and Wilkins are the gold standard for audiophiles. After B&W, KEF have really nice sounding speakers. I've also always enjoyed Paradigm speakers.

But, again, everything depends on what type of audio setup you're going for-- i.e., are you going for a complete 7.2 home surround setup? If you are, how many watts can your receiver put out? Or, are you only looking for audiophile quality headphones?

Another consideration would be where you plan to set everything up at: acoustics matter. Lastly, if not most importantly, how much are you looking to spend? A quality home theater can costs thousands, to tens of thousands, of dollars, or more.

All that being said, if I were you I'd go the most high-end electronics center where you live and listen to everything first, to see how things sound to you. Compare products and prices before you decide to buy anything.

when it comes to noise cancelling headphones bose is number one.

when it comes to anything else, including non-noise cancelling headphones, there are a multitude of choices where one can do waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Bose headphones are like Sony TVs, pay extra for the name.

I borrowed a pair of the Bose where you press the button and the noise cancels but I could hear the humming from the battery and couldn't deal with it.

I personally like Shure headphones, I use the Shure SE215 in the gym. And the Shure SRH840 at work, they are a bit heavy but the clarity was perfect.

Find an audio center and bring your music with your original headphones and test out the quality. Also bring someone with you that can switch out the headphones so you are not seeing the brand name saying these are the best cause they are Bose.

I’ve been a Sennheiser guy since the early 2000’s. Always make comfortable and high quality gear but always been slept on for some reason

If your are only talking about headphones...i don't know. ....but if your are talking about room speakers...I bought some Bose 301's when I got a new turntable to play my wax connection...NOTHING beats them..BOSE 301

That battery humming actually feel like somebody was pulling my ear drums out.

Nice choices for headphones. I have the Shure SE215’s and they’re great!

I have Audio Technica’s M50’s, they’re solid. I have an amp when wired but recently got the Bluetooth adapter. It has a very small amp in it.

I thought about getting the Shure SRH840’s but just didn’t and don’t need them right now. One day though.

Told this story before...

I used to sell stereo gear..mid to high end.

Just about all my friends were in the business.

Bose pays really well and had an excellent points program for salesmen (free stuff)!!

I and most of the people I knew had our choice of damn near any speakers..for free or damn near free. NOBODY had Bose in their system.

I got some Audeze LCD open backs i use for home listening and making beats. Best headphones i've ever owned.

I use Shure SE846-CL's for travel and flights.

Sony MDR7506 is my work horse. all around cans.

I have the Bose SoundSport Free for the gym and working out but they don't stay in my ear. The wireless BT range is finecky and i always lose connection in one ear. I have a friend who has similar issues with his.
