Cobb and Gwinnett residents suffering and tied to cars due to racism.

They should have been had marta access
It was racism back when it was built.. but now, just as many black folks move to those areas because they don't want to live near public transit. Douglas is the perfect example of it. That area has become 50% black, big houses.. HOA neighborhoods that want nothing to do with buses or trains. And honestly, these 4 stations they're building aren't really going to benefit hardly anyone but the folks that live next to them since they're just infill stations on lines that already exist. Commuter rail is what's needed.

Gwinnett keeps voting against it, so some of the residents of Gwinnett county have their selves to blame. I live in the north county and a long time ago. People thought that marta was going to fuck up Alpharetta area but nope, it hasn’t. Alpharetta is a little bit more colorful than it used to be but still everything is all good up. Gwinnett county seriously needs Marta.

Outsider looking in. Is Marta similar to the Metro system in DC or is all above ground?
How often does it run and would it lessen congestion of people going to work downtown based on the locations of the stations?

Marta is a dumbed down version of big city rail transportation. Same concepts just less range/lines. It pretty much just goes North, South, East, and West, and they have 1 line branching off kinda Northeast.

It doesn't and will never go to the areas where it should because county government won't allow it.

It's not like DC Metro where there are stops at all the surrounding city centers.

Is it money or some people don’t want others to have the ability to come in their neighborhood s?

Both plus historical racism.

I gave a guy an uber ride who worked for Cobb county. He said plans were drawn to allow Marta all the way to Kennesaw State University but were axed cause the board members bought up the land to sell to the county.
