Damn... Charges changed from cheating to Racketeering... some given 20 year sentences!! Shit is really fucked up... and THEY WERE ALL BLACK!!

While I have an issue with real criminals, this shit here burns me the fuck up! These teachers gave in to the unreal pressures of the system, fucking underpaid, and no real support from their administration! They were wrong for cheating, but these motherfuckers upped the charges to RACKETEERING!?!?!

Again... they were all black!! Something needs to be done about this bullshit!!!

Oh and by the way, the fucking white teachers who were caught weren't arrested or brought to trial!!

You should be more upset that they took advantage of Black kids rather than being upset that they got harsher sentencing than a white person may get. The school system created this environment with pressure and performance pay. The teachers know the testing itself is bogus but are forced to go along with it despite it being against their better judgment. Not to mention the kids are fucked and broken long before they set foot in their classroom. Again, they were wrong, but they arent the problem. And no one should be serving serious jail time for this shit.

They're making this about the bonus to slant the story. What's the dollar amount? They're public employees & that's typically open for public knowledge. They weren't sales professionals getting $10k+ bonuses...perhaps the superintendent, but those teachers weren't getting big enough bonuses to cheat. You don't need to see the terms... the words fines and probation are mentioned several times.. Fines and probation that the OTHER folks took, lets it be known that there was a way out.
