how about the usc vs michigan game from last year?
do you even realize that the ONLY way app state was able to beat michigan was because they were a faster team?

look at texas vs arizona state. those db's from texas are VERY fast and are flying to the ball disrupting the pass attack and stuffing the running game. on obvious passing downs, the d-linemen are in the backfield-quick!!!
i'm also picking usc over illinois, but i'm calling it at less than 10 points. illinois can CONTROL the clock by running their spread option offense, but tell ron zook the following: his spread is going to work in the PASSING GAME-not the running game; so use mendenhall wisely.
play action passing = illinois victory. trying to run against usc is playing to their defensive strength, and remember, they're used to the spread option from oregon-so it's nothing new to them like it caught osu again.
2ND HALF EDIT: texas is falling apart; i think asu will come back & win this game. mack brown has forgotten about his running game-in phil fulmer fashion.
