Started watching it last night. Shit is off the hook minus the typical blame game. Decent cast. Don't know this Coleman Domingo dude. at least I'm not familiar with any of his work. Deon Coleman is a serious role. Binge worthy. we might have found our own Idriss Elba...:D:D

Media pundit Muncie Daniels must fight to prove his innocence after stumbling upon a murder in the Poconos, while trying to reconnect with his estranged family and his lost ideals.

I’m digging it to so far myself… But it probably won’t get too much traction around these bgol streets… the star of the show is a VERY out of the closet individual. I think this is one of his few roles where he can be coded as a straight man. “We don’t play that gay shit”is our bgol manta. Maybe I’m wrong, this is the first post I’ve seen about this show

 man that dude been everywhere the past few years I can’t believe you not familiar with him.

When you find out he’s LGBT you gonna be hurt.

He is a damn good actor though. Usually gets some good roles in good movies.

Colman Jason Domingo (born November 28, 1969) is an American actor, playwright, and director. Prominent on both screen and stage, he has received various accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, and nominations for an Academy Award and two Tony Awards. Domingo's early Broadway roles include the 2005 play Well and the 2008 musical Passing Strange. He gained acclaim for his role as Mr. Bones in the Broadway musical The Scottsboro Boys (2011), for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He reprised the role in the 2014 West End production, being nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical. In 2018, he wrote the book for the Broadway musical Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.

After early roles in various incarnations of the Law & Order series and as part of the main cast for The Big Gay Sketch Show, he had his breakthrough playing Victor Strand in the AMC series Fear the Walking Dead (2015–2023).[2] He won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his recurring role as the recovering drug addict Ali on the HBO series Euphoria (2019–present).

Domingo's film appearances include supporting roles in Lincoln (2012), Selma (2014), If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020), and The Color Purple (2023). His portrayal of civil rights activist Bayard Rustin in the Netflix film Rustin (2023) earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Crazy....I've watched so many movies/TV shows and never heard of him. I guess that means I have a very narrow field of view...
Don’t get me wrong I didn’t start noticing him until about 2 or 3 years ago and I’m pretty sure he’s been around longer. But he’s been a monster he was in Rustin and Color Purple last year….Euphoria…apparently he was on Fear of the Walking Dead I haven’t seen. I bet you’ve seen him in something just didn’t make the connection.

Yep, but this show.. hes being a real man with a family.. I can buy that for a dollar.. show pretty damn entertaining! Gonna finish this weekend with this!! Raw on wifey in the show!!

I am going to check it out but first I had to watch The Piano lesson with Denzel's son a could of times.
When u get done let us know how it was.. the trailer makes it get bo play on my screen, but I wanna see if u can give me some feedback to make me take a shot at it! BTW I just got done watching Rob Peace.. pretty cool.. if Mary wasn't in it I probably would have passed on it.. she actually produced it and it was also a true story, which actually is pretty good and sad at the same time!!

Piano Lesson is good. Reminds me of Raisin in the sun.

The main story is just like a Raisin in the sun but with a twist of what seems to be popular today the spirits/folklore behind it so if that's not your thing I would suggest passing on this one.Samual L Jackson was in it and you might have a question about his character lol

Really took notice of his work in If Beale Street Could Talk, Zola, and Euphoria.

Beale Street had a great cast on the whole.

Zola was just a wild ride of a story.

Some great scenes of him and Rue (Zendaya) in Euphoria. Especially the standalone episode at the diner. Just them sitting across the table from one another talking. Solid job from both.

See prime example I’ve seen those films I forgot he was in Zola lol. And he was great you are right Beale Street cast was tough as hell. They all acted their asses off.

And I forgot he was in the new Candyman too.

Zola was such a crazy story. How many movies can say they're based off real-life events / a viral Twitter thread, lol?

Beale Street was the real deal. Watched that one with my mom. She was visiting that weekend a handful of years back. We watched the bulk of it, then headed off for lunch and got sushi. Came home - watched the Kawhi Leonard buzzer beater over Philly to get them into the Finals, and then the rest of the movie. Mom was like - "How big is that for Toronto?" I explained it was pretty huge, but I didn't think they stood much of a chance versus Golden State in the NBA Finals. My bad!

I need to revisit some of the key scenes from the Candyman remake. I remember liking it, but watched it late at night & might have missed some things.

I know I missed some things in Candyman towards the end because I was like huh? Like I really don’t know what was Coleman’s motive for what he did lol. His character anyway.

I was shocked that Zola movie didn’t do better but it had a weird roll out I remember the twitter craze over it….and yeah I guess Beale Street was that Kawhi era in Toronto’s lol.

Indeed - gonna need to revisit parts of that movie. Thanks for the reminder re: Candyman.

I know what you mean re: Zola ... it definitely had a lot of buzz. Seemed like it could be one to have longer-term staying power with people recommending it. To this day it still flies under the radar. Maybe it's the movie title being so short that it doesn't stick with people as well.

Regarding Kawhi's T-Dot era ... man ... that was just a great afternoon. Watched a great movie / had a great lunch at a local Asian spot / watched one of the best buzzer beaters of all-time.

Zola didn’t even make back he budget. I think they could’ve went more creative with the title of movie. There was a disconnect somewhere. It kind of just came and went and I didn’t see that.

Indeed - should have pushed it hard as fuck on social media platforms ... considering the story caught buzz there.

Give it a catchier title ... something like "Unbelievable but True" ... or "Things Went from 0 to 60"

Leave people thinking ... "What's that about? Let me check the trailer or Google it ..."

This dude said before being interrogated that "i'm going to outsmart them" then tripped out when they planted all the evidence. :smh: :hmm:

You a reporter in the 21st century and dont know what's possible with technology. Don't mind me I'm just being picky..
