Anyone watches CNBC's......

Yeah...I actually just started catching those programs recently...I normally catch them whenever I get a chance

Indeed! I have been watching CNBC since at least 97 -98. It is my FAVORITE channel. Every brother needs to touch this channel twice a day. You can just pick up sh!t about the market on the open and close of the Dow.

I watch Danny Deutsch's "the big idea." Great show. Had three millionaires under 25 on last week. Two of them were black and one of the black dudes has TWO publicly traded companies on the exchange.

Bottom line, the internet changes the playing field. It levels it. I hate I have been gone so long but I am going to try to contribute. Charles has been doing a good job helping the board understand paper assets. A j-o-b just ain't gonna get it. That's my wooden nickel. :yes:

Saw that one last week - that kat sounded like BIG when he was saying that he wasnt tryin to injure himself on that football field and decided to "Get $";

Also saw the one with the Starbucks founder from Brooklyn, the Angel Investors and Venture capitalists like the kats out of Jersey and a few others

Enjoyed the perspectives and details that they've examined during the show - I like how he encourages that GetUpOffYaAss mentality as he dissects simple, common ideas that can introduce the everyday, ordinary person into a world of wealth once they stick to their guns and get driven;

even saw a piece of the one with the hand/foot model kat and later that foot model chick - didn't know his/Deutsch's company invented that lil foot fungus creature as him and that foot model kat were giving 'pounds' celebrating that bread they broke since it was his foot lol

peace

I watch it all the time. The "Fast Money Guys" know what they are talking about and Jim Cramer. He's like a "ADD" kid but if you know about his past then you know why,lol! He was on Donnie Deutsch's show last week and he was talking about he has anger problems. He's worth alot of money b/c he used to be a hedge fund manager. Those guys can make anyone from $1M to $100M in one year depending on how profitable their fund is. That trader Brian Hunter that took down "Aramanth" made between $50M to $100M in 2005. Just type in "Aramanth hedge fund" and some articles will come up.

I saw the list about a couple of weeks ago on CNBC. I'm in the wrong field, lol! Fox is trying to get a business channel and I know it's going to be biased and Rupert Moduch is trying to buy Dow Jones so they can have credibility.

I need to bone up more on CNBC. I like the The Big Idea, but don't know what time/day it comes on. I catch it sporadically. I had High Net Worth set on my DVR, but I think my daughters trumped it's status.
My real shit is "My Businesss" on MSNBC. Comes on Sunday mornings at 7:30. If you like to sleep in on Sundays like some people (me), program it on your Tivo, DVR or if you're still that retro cat, VCR.

"The Big Idea" 10:00 p.m & 1:00 a.m. EST weeknights. I think I have seen every episode this year If this show does not motivate you, at least tweak your interest, then the 9 to 5 is for you...and there is nothing wrong with that board. Your road to wealth will just be longer.

I think HNW comes on every Sunday some time in the evening. I just have CNBC on all day for no reason. I mean there is no reason to see the market everyday as a true investor but I just feel like I will pick up people, places and names that will allow me to network more effectively in the future.

And that's my wooden nickel.

I try to catch the Big Idea.

Are you day trader or something?

I watch CNBC on my days off(mine are during the week). I get down with Mad Money Jim Cramer. :dance:

Chase, no I'm not. I have been investing in stocks, mostly small and micro-cap since 1999 when I got my first job in corporate america.

I am have graduated into a business start-up kind of investor. Always looking to jump on ideas other people have toiled over and see how I can make money off of them.

I just can't f*ck with stocks right now because my capital is not right. However, I have started a couple microbusinesses to help me raise capital for a handful of small businesses/real estate.

Trust, you and I will get up soon enough. I am working on a couple more stacks.
