Anyone successfully trademark their company name?

Whats fam. If so, how and how much did it cost? Did you DIY or go through a lawyer/company.

I'm still looking to do an LLC. I've researching that too
 
I need a little bit of help.....In my state, a name was available for our business, but looking at the US Patent office, the name is trademarked. What type of issue could I run into?

did you use a lawyer to do the search? Or did you use the electronic US Patent search office?

I did a US patent office search. The full legal name (MYBUSINESSNAMES, LLC) is available, but MYBUSINESSNAMES (without the LLC) was recently trademarked by a company in Texas. Just to put it perspective, MYBUSINESSNAME (without the S and without the LLC) is also trademarked.

My question is this: Will adding the LLC on the end make a difference?

Yea. According to the US patent when you submit the name along with your money it has to be reviewed by their staff attorneys for similarites. Sounds like you may have a conflict. Plus the fee is nonrefundable of course.

You still could do a DBA or you may have to switch up the name a little
