Anyone still watch the Mandolarian? I thought Beskar armor was impervious to light sabers?

After watching the latest episode I'm confused as fuck. The imperial guards had light saber staffs that penetrated Beskar armor, easily, and killed a Mandolarian. According to Beskar lore, I didn't think that possible. After the last episode, does anyone know wtf is going on with that?

I think this season has been weak, but to answer your question none of the mandalorians we see are armed with pure beskar and instead are wearing hybrid pieces mixed with durasteel and other metals like boba, din as far as we know is the only one wearing a pure beskar set.

I kind of figured that. I hope they explain that better before the season ends.

At this point the storylines they're following and integrating expect the viewer to have read books, watched the clone wars, rebels, bad batch ECT. Lol I wonder how Ashoka will do with the general audience without the benefit of having seen rebels.

This season is letting me down so far
I felt this after the first episode actually. I haven't watched an episode since. It always seems that a lot of shows sometimes lose their way after the second season. I don't know if it's because of the writing or the ideas or the direction they want the story to go, but something falls off at this point for a lot of shows.

I saw that The Last Ship is on HBO Max. I remember the first two seasons being really good and the third season didn't have the same feel as season 1 and 2. I didn't even know it had a fourth season until yesterday

Well his story was just

But after the popularity grew, like most things, a one off story had to be continued for more money with no ending in sight.

The problem is baby yoda and the idiots that fell in love with him. I've been saying since season one they need to hurry up and ditch him or else the show will lose focus on the mandalorian and look what happened instead of a show about a mercenary bounty hunter we get a show a bout a cutesy muppet that eats everything in site and also this show is a clone wars/rebels vehicle. This is jon favereau's joint hows he gonna let Dave filoni bogard his project? The show now suffers from too many cooks syndrome. Baby Yoda been wore out his welcome with me . He should've stayed with Luke and rarely been seen again. Thers not much to him besides "wheres the little fella that was with you and every female character that's not a mandalorian wants to hold him like hes a new born baby and " look at him take a nap after using his force powers to put big monster to sleep..aww" my only interest in him is his Jedi past how he got into the imperials clutches and what did moff Gideon want with his dna or whatever. They should've been following that arc more instead of the taking back mandalore thing, they could've did that with a movie.

Those weren't the imperial guard those were the pretorian guard and they are way more deadlier than the imperial guard

You're right. Baby Yoda ruined the Mandalorian.

Sometimes, a popular character can help a show or series. Christopher's girlfriend Adriana on The Sopranos was only supposed to be in a few episodes, but her popularity led to her being more involved in the story.

Boyd Crowder was supposed to die in the first episode of Justified and he turned out to be one of the series best characters

What made the Mandalorian popular is going to be what does the show in. Now if there's no baby Yoda, a lot of people will not watch

I'm probably not going to go back to the show.

Gotta be a pure verse not pure thing because that pure Beskar staff held up against Ahsoka's twin sabers.

The show has deviated a bit but it’s Kathleen Kennedy’s fault more than anyone else. She keeps fucking with the churches money. Trash ass sexual trilogy. The Grogu situation limited the series I agree wholeheartedly.

They’re taking on the bigger Star Wars lore now and it definitely has affected the show. Last season was dope because they didn’t overdue the cameos of other Star Wars characters.

My biggest issue is that they are making the sequel trilogy canon. They’re definitely not listening to the fans because we all I agree that that shit was trash, but for some reason they want to move forward with it.

This season wasn't that bad it was only that dumb filler episode with lady gaga. Last week's episode.with moff Gideon want a step in the right direction. What they need to do is cut out the cutesy shit with grogu and make him useful. Put some weapons in his ig-11 exo suit , and have more scenes of him training and learning the mandalore ways like in that episode when he went up against the mandalore kid. Disney can only have him somersault for so long. In case y'all haven't heard filoni is doing an avengers type star wars movie with all of these shoes coming together except cassian. That just sounds too Disney formulaic.

Another thing why isn't the star wars franchise focusing on action figures? I was in target yesterday after a jog so I checked out the toy section to see what star wars was doing. It was mostly Lego shit but I saw a lando calrissian action figure along with reva from the obinwan shows dninlooked on the back of the box to see that din jarin has an action figure along with a mandalorian reinforce .ent imperial troops , an obi wan action figure etc. Also there was jango Fett's ship. If Disney was smart they would go all out like in the kenner, Hasbro days and have all kinds of action figures from shows like bad batch, clone wars, rebels ,their live action vehicles all kinds of playsets etc. What kid wouldn't want a moff Gideon with a dark saber or a dark saber light up replicant toy. Bo katans ship and mandos b-1 naboo starfighter would be dope vehicles . Mandos original ship could open up and be a playset with a carbon freezing chamber in side. Just think a black krrysantan action figure would clean up along with boba Fett and his pet rancor and that six armed creature he killed to save one of the sand people. Disney put most of their focus on Legos and a remote controlled baby Yoda.

Show needs to be "darker". but with baby yoda, Disney will stay on this path....show has been average to say the least.

:hmm: Impervious does not mean impenetrable, the armor is LS resistant but not so much if the "Force" is use with a LS.

jmo
The pretorians stabbed vizla in the soft unarmored areas. Same thing with the beskar troops they were shot in unarmored areas.

I was wrong about the toys they have action figures and vehicles from all the shows my only problem is there's no advertisement campaign for them. I want that feeling from the early 8Os with toy commercials on Saturday morning. These toys should be aimed at kids but are obscure collectibles for nerds to pick up at a comic book shop
