Turned my heat on this morning when we were at about 18 degrees. It was blowing cold air!

Took about 30 minutes for it to really heat up. Let it get to 74 and cut it off when the sun came up. 78 now inside with the sun.

ATLANTA

Power went out for a couple of minutes other than that things have been fine. You asking about folks specifically in Atl?

Mofos at work said if we lose power while working from home we have to use paid time off or unpaid administrative leave.

Yet if we were in the office and they sent us home due to weather or power outage we get paid for the day.

Damn that's wild..lol When I'm in Pa & the power goes out & I don't feel like going into the office I just hit one of our stores (work & smoke cigars). If I'm in DC then they are SOL, but I have stuff that I can get done with having to be online so they don't really trip.

2:10pm in Charlotte, NC and its 25 degrees.

Haven't lost any power in my area, house warm and cozy.

On another note, windy as fuck and its trash day.

Trash cans knocked over, I was out there picking up cardboard boxes that landed in my front yard from some of my neighbors recycle bins.

It's 24 degrees here in Maryland. Wind at about 19MPH. I keep my heat set at 72 and pretty comfortable. Then again I live on the 2nd floor of my building so the temps always balance out in the extreme season. No power outages but that is because Pepco had been doing upgrades since the Derecho that blew threw in 2012. It's supposed to be below 0 wind chills tomorrow.

Man that shit was the worst, my spot in DC is over by Catholic U & we had 3 huge trees fall taking down lines around the neighborhood.

Man that was the worst storm I have ever seen and it only lasted about 10 minutes. Heavy winds, torrential rain that was coming down sideways. A building across the street from me lost an entire roof! I mean the ENTIRE roof on an apartment building got tossed almost 100 feet across the parking lot smashing a bunch of cars! Then to make things worse it was 100 degrees the next day with no electricity.

Yeah we tried to stick it out for a few days, but once my parents power came back on we went to their place. That heat was no joke.

And now it's going to be the hottest day of the year so far.

I'm running fans and a air purifier just trying to avoid turning on the AC.

Gotta love the Georgia extremes!
