Not sure if this is best suited for the business board but the main board gets the most hits so I'll try it here first. I have a friend that sent me an email about a new business venture he just started. Its called Tunguska Mist. Just curious as to what the fam thinks about adaptogens and the products on his site. Is it legit or snake oil flim flammery? Im not trying to sell anything, just seeking to find out if anyone has any experience or knowledge on the topic. Ive tried searching around for more links on adaptogens and his product but so far, the most reputable site i have found was wiki and a book on amazon. Thanks in advance fam

Adaptogens are a unique group of herbal ingredients that can be used to strengthen the body’s response to stress/anxiety and combat fatigue in a way that’s easy on your body. They improve your mood, your sex drive ), and boost energy. I tend to run pretty high on anxiety and I’ve found these adaptogens to be very helpful in regulating all my systems. I take Mucuna Pruriens and Ashwagandha every morning and I’ve experienced a notable reduction in stress and an increased level of clarity. There are many adaptogens and they all target specific needs — mind, skin, mood. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a boost.

Never heard of this, but:

Do adaptogens have side effects?
You should talk to your doctor before adding adaptogens to your diet or routine. A 2018 study found that common herbal supplements can interact negatively with prescription medications, and many people don’t tell their doctors which over-the-counter drugs and supplements they’re taking.

Powell says there’s little evidence to suggest that adaptogens can cause side effects or health problems—though, like any plant, they can be allergenic or cause gastrointestinal distress for some people. She also says there’s little long-term research about adaptogens’ effects on the body over time.

While it’s probably safe for most people to take adaptogens, Powell says doing so may be more of a bandage than a cure. “People are basically wanting to take these adaptogens all the time for their chronic stress that they’re not managing otherwise,” Powell says. While “it’s easier to take a pill than change your lifestyle,” Powell says getting at the root cause of stress is healthier in the long run.
