Anyone know how to restore wood textures?

I have a drawer that I painted and I regret it now. I didn't glaze it (made it smooth). Is there a way to remove the paint and restore the original wood texture? Also, I have some older drawers that have some of the wood texture somewhat fading and peeling. Is there a way to fix this as well?

Help!

assuming this is all hardwood furniture
remove the paint - then stain it if you like and throw some polyurethane on it

there are millions of webpages about restoring furniture and wood surfaces

If it's 100 percent wood you can strip the paint off then sand off the top coat of residue. Then simply re-stain it.

swear i can come in here and ask a question about growing weed in a cave on mars and yall would have some good advice.....all good stuff.

Brother I am heavy into wood working so if you have a specific questions shot me a PM. The first thing you need to find out is if the drawer is made of solid wood or a thin veneer. If its solid just sand it to bare wood and restain. If its veneer your in for alot of work.

There must be something about you artistic mofo's:lol::lol:

My uncle does that too, always finding gems on trash day next time you check at his crib it looks like an antique showroom. If he's not drawing and painting he's doing that.
