I've been drinking and having cigs for so long it's time to quit, I know people gonna look a certain way when everyone is drinking and passing out shots and I'm passing, kills the vibe.

Guess you just leave drinkers alone if you don't drink.

I interact just fine.Bars,clubs not anymore...I've grown out of that pretty quick.If everyone else is drinking,I drink what?water,soda or nothing,I don't like the taste of beer,liqour and me were never ment to be friends.

I try to never get attached to anything I can't stop doing at the drop of a dime,people become slaves to bad habits

raises hand..i can still go to a lounge/club/bar as the sobernite of the crew..i didn't go to none of them events to consume liquids but to socialize with broads and friends..as far as yrs of hanging out with people i'm the clean guy of the crew but somehow/someway i'm the person that always got offered the free drinks and smoke..it never failed/fails..especially on new yrs..so i would juss be like hey i don't drink/smoke but my friends do and pass the shit to them..my boys use to always be like how in the fuck does this guy always get offered free shit..i was always the social butterfly of the crew so somehow/someway i always connected with bartenders/staff/ bouncers/random chicks/random people..this made me a neccessity when goin out..i don't kno how many times we skip lines or got in for free or got free shit cause of me..jokes and cool vibe can go a longway so my energy was good for my not so sober crew

Everyone else in this thread is right.. and besides, I found out that for a lot of people (not all), the point of drinking and/or smoking is to relax. Many of us can relax when we are out of the work environment and around good music, good food, good convo, and some intelligent and/or freaky women*. Besides, by the time everyone else is drunk and high, the LAST thing on their mind is whether or not someone else is still sober.

I quit smoking like 15 years ago NEVER looked back. And I quit drinking almost 1 year ago. But I use to drink everyday for 11yrs, my body told me to quit, no doctor just knew it was time. It did take my a mth to get find myself when i went out did not feel right not drinking but NOW sh*t I go out and Im good Plus the BIG BONUS all the money I save!!
