Anybody submit samples to Whosampled?

I don't know who judges the submissions but they're on some bullshit.

They said these two songs were completely unrelated. The system won't even allow you to submit the match because they've specifically blocked it due to the number of submissions. I guess it's cheaper to buy off a whosampled judge than to pay royalties.

They also rejected this pair when I submitted it. The sample is not an exact match but it no longer has to be after that Uptown Funk lawsuit. Interpolations are supposed to count and there's a drop-down menu for them.

That Tame Impala and George Benson thing is a stretch.

I would've denied you too, fam. :D

What about the first one?
Definitely the same chords and key, but not derivative or interpolated IMO.

I bet you can find a million records that just play B flat minor and F minor over and over, throughout the song.

Think about the New Jack Swing era.
Mad songs' chords (including Teddy's Jam) were based off of the chords of Debarge's I Like it. But the songs were definitely different.

*I'm not a music guy. I'm just a HUGE fan of sample digging/identification*

How they snitchin' without no fast food meal? That's against snitchin' rules.....
