The entire movie is based upon one historical event when the Mayans slaughtered over 85,000 people in a few days as a sacrifice to their Gods...Thus the title...History Channel did a run on it a few months ago...

They were fucking organised barbarians (but so were many African tribes so no slam against their culture)...little as people too...4'11 was considered a tall man? Climbed Chechen itza and a few other Mayan temples and if you sporting a size 12 shoe or better, them tiny ass steps are going to fuck with you....

yeah they were some skilled mofo's when it came to math and astronomy. its crazy how that pyramid in chechen itza is designed for all sorts of alignments with the sun and if u stand in front of it and clap your hands you hear an eagle?!?! wouldnt believe it if i hadnt heard it myself. and u aint kidding about those tiny steps, i climbed chechen itza a few years back when u could still climb it, you cant anymore,so i climbed that shit but i had to crawl back down, shit was steep and i couldnt step correctly. besides all the historical stuff though cancun is a nice place to go relax or party, $20 or less gets you into most clubs with open bar all night.
