anybody knows the law concerning warrants?

What up BGOL,

lets say the friendly police officer serves you with a criminal warrant for destruction of property.
The date of the offense happened lets say September of 2005. The warrant signed by the judge is dated January 2005.

can someone with a knowledge of the law let me know whats up?
does this make a difference or would this be a technicality?
 
With respect to the date on the warrant being before the day "they said" property was destroyed, wouldn't that just be a "clerical error" and not materially affecting the substance of the allegations: property was destroyed and you did it ??? A warrant containing informal or clerical errors can be amended to state the truth and such errors are usually not cause for dismissal of the warrant or for the release of a person arrested under it.
