I don't have a license and I am wondering is it the kind of thing a "we" can rise to the top doing. I have all the necessary skills but I don't know too many "brothers" makeing that dollar. I live in a white city.
thanks

PA Liscensed agent here! Working in philly and surrounding counties....work is good for me whats happening is the rich white agents are losing their clientele because of the slow market but the less expensive properties are still moving. So top agents are still moving units but not for as much money(usually black agent working in the city) as the white agents who usually move less units but higher value properties (usually in the susburban counties).
As far as being a black agent....
Black clientele are more difficult to work with, in general, because they think you dont know what you are doing (conditioned to believe a white agent can do better).
White clientele that do work with you will, generally, value your insight.
I find foriegners are the best clientele because they have no preconcieved notions as to what a black man who grew up in North Philly is capable of.
Hope this provides some insight...any questions?

Thanks couple ???'s tho....
Can you recommend the best route to getting your lisensce? Do you do entals or sale or both? I have no knowledge of any of this, but I work hard and am willing to learn, what is the hardest part of the job? Is the paper worth it?

Processes for acquiring liscence different in every state. I do whatever is gonna get me a commision. Getting clients is the hard part and then getting deals to the table. In PA the liscence makes you legal so it is worth it.
