i've been considering this. everyone seems to feel like you but of course there are those horror stories floatin around too.Nope. Got LASIK though, and I love it!
i want it bad, i get tired of my glasses and contacts suck almost as much.

i used to do that shit too years ago but i'm gonna try and ween myself of these contacts. Too much trouble and they just make ur vision worst
I started wearing glasses at maybe 15, contacts at 17 and I'd do the exact same thing, even sleep in them
at I knew it couldn't be good so at 21 I said fuck it and went for LASIK, they didn't even want to do it because they said because I was so young and would probably need it re-done later but I told them I wanted it and we went ahead, couldn't be more happy

Yeah, you're supposed to be at least 25.
The majority of the "horror stories" come from people who had no business getting the procedure done in the first place or had it done when it was still an experimental procedure.
Most LASIK centers will offer free 90 minute exams, so I'd recommend talking to your regular eye doctor about it, and then hitting up two or three different centers for exams to hear what they say. I went to two centers for exams and they both recommended different LASIK procedures. I went with the center that did Tiger Woods' surgery.
My little brother had one about a month ago and he is fine. They had to adjust the stitches once but it wasn't a major issue. The time it takes to heal is the biggest issue. About a year to remove the stitches. As long as you can make the life style adjustments i.e. stay away from smoke, bright area etc. you will be fine.
Yeah... I had a corneal transplant back in '03 (kerataconus)...only thing was messed up was when they had to numb my eye up for a second time when I wasn't sedated ( it's just sumthing bout a needle that the dentist uses, being used to numb yo eye.. And it's coming straight @ yo eye and u can't move... Real talk)...I need to get other eye done too, but I don't want the bootleg docs @VA to do surgery.... Damn I wish I had private insurance lol
