Any experiences with these deep discount brokers? (Zecco/SogoTrade)

I'm ready to jump in to the stock trading game. I have noticed the low fees on these two sites, and was just wondering what the trade offs were compared to the traditional internet trading sites. If anyone has info to share, feel free! Thanks in advance

Open the account and put the smallest amount in there you can to keep it open then check out the interface. If you are not day trading you can get the same amount of service you get from the others. If you want more research, like charting stuff then you can go to one of the others. I like Ameritrade because they have nice chart screen and level 2. If this is your first account then it kinda doesn't matter much. You have to open an account and then when you get a feel for the buying and selling process then it will become easier to decide whether you want more or not.

You can open accounts with different brokerages and try them out. OptionsXpress has a virtual trading platform you can try them out. Ameritrade I like also. When I was messing with pennies. Scottrade wasn't bad either. If you trade futures. I like Interactive brokers. Etrade not bad either if you want to trades some other markets. They give you access to 5 other. IB give you access to lots of foreign markets also. Seems for right now the things that are important to you are addressed at Zecco. Go with them till it changes or open accounts with other brokers at the same time

Thanks a lot fam! I'm just starting to get my feet wet, and mainly looking for a couple quick flips (but I'm prepared for flops too hahaha) in the short term while I continue to study strategies. I figured I would just toss some kick it money into the game and see how far it goes. Worse case scenario is with 100 shares going up at the slightest bit, I can go ahead a sell em back and not have to worry about commissions eating my profit.

I see what you mean though about branching out into other shit as I get more familiar. I will eventually get there one step at a time. thanks for blessin this thread. LET'S GET THIS MONEY!

i tried to access zecco's site. took me a few seconds so i cancelled them and kept it moving. i cant fuck with a site that doesnt load right away especially if they got my money and im trying to trade.

the only two i mess with at this moment are etrade and ameritrade.
i've been with ameritrade when datek was around actually my account was with datek until ameritrade bought datek so my account went to ameritrade.

good luck man. look into that Visa stock that just went public last week.

you know you can set up a dummy account with yahoo finance. im sure you have a yahoo mail account. log on. then go to finance.yahoo.com
you can track stocks with a dummy portfolio. no money involved. just create a stock portfolio of stocks you are trying to track. and then you can also add shares of stock to the portfolio to see how you WOULD HAVE DONE if you paid for the stocks in your regular account

http://finance.yahoo.com/
click at the top where it says MY PORTFOLIOS and then just go from there. i have google and visa in that portfolio at 10 grand each (invisible dummy money)

Yeah I've fooled around in there a bit, but I think the only way to get some trading experience is hands on. The money I'm depositing would normally go towards kickin it or gear, so I'm not out of anything if I blow it. If I flip it though, then I'll have some good shit to blog about hahahahaha. Either way I'll keep yall posted...peace

Re: Any experiences with these deep discount brokers? (Zecco/SogoTrade)

Thanks for the help yall. Made some very modest gains in the couple weeks I've had the account, and I mean so modest that if I had to pay commission there would be no overall gains lol. Limit orders are fairly easy to execute. Still doing some reading to formulate my strategy.

Lesson 1 for now is don't fuck with penny stocks unless you know what you're doing. I learned the hard way, luckily I didn't pitch all my bread in there, so the modest gains have outnumbered what I lost in the penny stocks. I want to pull of a day trade or 2, see how quick I can flip some kick it money lol.
