I've hunted rabbit, duck, quail, and geese. I eat what I kill. I'm not interested in killing animals that I wont eat. I've eaten deer and elk (a friend went hunting and brought me some of the meat).

I want to hunt Deer next. Does anyone hunt? What are your experiences etc...?

I'm going to purchase a .30-06 within the next two weeks. I'm looking at a Browning X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Speed.

You better wait for that heart shot

You hit any bone and half of the meat is trash, that round will shatter

I’ve done a few head shot, shit is hard if your rifle ain’t sighted

I’m bout to switch up to bow soon

What kind of rounds did you use, and what was the magnification on your scope?

I haven't hunted since I tore my rotstor cuff but when I did hunt deer I used a bow.

The first time I went hunting for rabbits (Cottontails), I didn't hit anything. But, there were time where we went and I was the only one to hit something.
 
i haven't done it since '93-'94 with my pops.... it's fun but that's my pops thing more then it was mine
