HOw could you make movies that are done for less that don't look like they were done for less. THAT is the question. When Cadillac Records came out it wasn't even shown in most areas. No theater was showing it within 20 miles and my sister had to go downtown Cleveland to see it.

With downloading so rampant (and so much more prevalent with Black movies-Where the download is available a week or more before the film hits theaters) we would have to find a way of making cheap movies that don't look cheap. That would cut cost there, but we would still have to find a way to distribute them to the masses. Will Smith produces his own movies, which helps him out and nets him a double check.

One major thing is, Black people and White people aren't that different in the grand scheme. We have the same wants, the same fears and all, considering the different classes of the races. I watch White romantic comedies and I laugh because I can see the humor, because that character and I are in many ways similar. Is it more the racism or the "they don't look like me so I couldn't possibly get where they are coming from in this movie" thing that keeps White people from watching Black movies?
