Anothr mass shooting....Has the turning point against the N.R.A. finally been reached?

Them not dealing with day to day threats isn't a bad thing. Im making sure my loved ones ain't round no drama neither. This goes back to the same stupid argument i hear friends some who came from poverty clown their own kids cause their "soft and they talk funny" cause they ain't battle tested living in a shitty neighborhood. My Grand Parents have white friends who pay attention to whats going on. They all look out for each other. Its obvious brehs gonna paint folks as standoffish. You cannot broad brush entirety. My neighbors some whom are white are aware of what's going on. We all check the news and the goings on within our neighborhood .

Using the broad brush is akin to saying our kids are running around beating up other kids and participating within the knockout game which isn't true.

I never said not having to day-to-day threats is a bad thing. I'm just saying they aren't going through it. They live in the moment that the media feeds them. If a sand cac does some shit, they panic for a few days about terrorism. Even though they have a better chance of getting hit by lightening, they will worry. Same with mass shootings. They worry and then go about their lives.

I'll give an example. Look at their school security measures. Shit is fucking laughable. Anyone can walk into their schools. Students can store guns in their lockers like books. Where the metal detectors at? The armed guards? Their school sporting events have little to no security. Yet these cacs worried about gun violence? Since you say you associate with both worlds, you see how lax their security is. Their neighborhoods are like fucking Smurf villages.

They wouldn't be getting dropped left and right because they don't have have the same gang culture we do. They USED to , and our dumbass rap groups glorified some shit they've moved in from and this is why we have terms like "real nigga" and "no snitching " and all that shit when really theyre trying to copy italians and irish gang principals from the movies.

This also justifies the heavy police presence in the same hoods which leads to bad interaction with police.

And the disproportionate incarceration rate we deal with.

And again, the guns are ILLEGAL. Which is another reason getting caught with one can get a young black man locked up.

So the white saviors you're asking for already made laws AND sent police in to save us from ourselves when actually fathers would do a much better job.

What DOES effect them (and it effects US too) is the random mass shooter. gun control can't really do Much about that either. The guns are legal And well within the law. The only change I've ever heard is to get rid of them. And that ain't happenIng and truthfully I would t want that either. Suburban schools in nicer areas public and private aren't as lax as your putting on . I went through hell trying to put up my nieces and nephews from school and various practices. U don't need metal detectors.

I have my money in a Black Bank in the city. I walked in the damn door last Thursday. It was one way and one way out. I couldn't move on the door behind me had to close b4 i could open the next door. The bank had bullet proof thick glass. I felt like a damn criminal. Knowing how i felt i don't want my nieces and nephews to go through that.

The different school events have a uniform officer on duty. Hell even my nieces and nephews schools public and private have officers on duty. I had a few officers on duty back when i was in school just watching out for us.

In the burbs i live in cacville. Some individuals do have the lights and Tv's on with no curtains or blinds up to the windows. I find that seriously problematic.

A neighbors relative works for an agency so he came out and had the neighborhood inspected. He also had a neighborhood meeting on safety and cameras and such.

Many of my neighbors have the security systems and they are at the range. Sadly many are still lax bringing in packages via round holiday time.

I remember being on a jury and they asked the young breh why did he commit his crime he said, "thats the nicer neighborhood where the expensive stuff was". That stays in the back of my mind. I drive a beater depending where im going.

No, no one has re gun violence issues WE have, and they HAVE responded to it anyway with more police. I don't want that. I want us to change that aspect of our culturE. Extra security can't do much on any of the situations that happened.

In Vegas, at a country concert, in a hotel, there's plenty of security.

Maybe in schools you can have more security, but not really. I hate that we have metal detectors in some "urban" schools.

But it's ALWAYS on the table. It isn't that people don't want it because it doesn't effect them, it's just that people really value the 2nd ammendment more.

If you think that people should be allowed to be armed then this other shit unfortunately is going with it. When it aint guns, it's cars running people over. Or knives. People HERE value the right to be armed. Not because mass shootings don't scare them, but being unarmed when you need to protect your family and home , scares them more.
