When are you going to ask a valid question?
The problem isn't Romney's wealth, never has been. The problem is he wants to run on his business acumen but doesn't want anyone to talk about his actual record at Bain.

This wasn't about Romney at all. I'm irritated about how some folks in the media act as if only republicans have all the money. We all know that's bullshit.
Feel free to talk about Romney's Bain record, but don't forget Obama's stimulus record. Lets keep it fair. *which I doubt people on here can*
and not just his record at Bain. He record as govenor as well.

Who was the last presidential candidate to have a Swiss Bank account?

Barak Obama was not wealthy when he was a candidate for president.
He only became wealthy, sort of after he became a candidate and his books were re released.
Not sure how much money Jimmy Carter had. He was a Navy Officer and a farmer..So his money is different than being born into it

Today class, please turn to Page 1 of Chapter 7, How To Avoid Answering A Question.
Barack Obama was wealthy when he ran for president. He only became wealthy with the publication of his books. Matter of fact, I wish I owned a first edition of "Dreams Of My Father" which is from the mid 90s when he was an unknown state senator. I stand corrected, but I think he and Michelle only paid off their college loans in the 00s once the money from the books flowed in - in other words, when he was a State Senator, he was still knee deep in debt.
If your question is truly "when was the last presidential candidate that was not wealthy at one point in their life" - then the last ones were in 2008 when Obama and John McCain ran against each other. The McCain's were military people - they were not wealthy until John McCain married into the Heinz family in 1980 - when he was in his late 40s.
Before him, there was Bill Clinton who is the son of a single mother from eastbutterfuck Arkansas. He ran against Bob Dole who was not wealthy as a young man, but got there through "socialized" education, i.e. The GI Bill (many Republicans opposed it in the 1940s).
Don't let the Texas drawl fool you. George and Barbara Bush Sr are not Southerners, they are from Maine and Massachusetts. After World War 2, George made his money from oil speculation in Texas.
Before him, there was Dukakkis who was the son of Greek immigrants, before him....
Go easy on him, Que.

1. How is it that the inherent assumption here is that only your questions are valid ones?
2. How did you make the Evil-Knievel-esque leap of logic in equating a stimulus package with personal wealth?
3. When can we expect the first "valid" question?
So what made my question "invalid" in your eyes?
But I do want to correct you, McCain didn't marry into the Heinz family. That was John Kerry (kinda). McCain's wife's family owns a large beer distributorship.
