:smh:

A man was found dead Monday in an apparent suicide outside a store in the Shady Acres community, Houston police said.

Police only identified the man as Hispanic. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine his identity and official cause of death.

The man's body was found hanged outside the store at 9:05 a.m. in the 2500 block of Ella Boulevard, south of Interstate 610 North, police said. A video circulating on social media apparently shows a man hanging from a tree in a field at that location. A group of emergency vehicles, including a Houston police car, was on the scene.

The video triggered widespread speculation that the man seen in the video was black. There have been two other recent incidents in California where black men were found hanged in public, one in the city of Palmdale and the other in Victorville.

Houston police homicide detectives are currently investigating the death in Houston, but they do not suspect foul play, police said. Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said that the man's family members indicated he was suicidal.

No other details were available Monday afternoon.

Wait off of 610 and Ella? That's a pretty well-populated area. Not too far from the Heights. How can someone pull that off without cameras not seeing them or their getaway vehicle? If you said outside of Houston in some of the smaller suburbs?

It's gotta be a major cover up if these are lynchings. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determined the difference between the two. Went through something like this with my wife's fam. You can look at body and tell if you know what to look for. And it's not only signs of a struggle.

I guess suicide by hanging is popular in the month of June by minorities if you allow cacs to tell the story.. Guess that's a new way to protest

Fuck cacs

According to the story, the family said he was suicidal...still think the hangings in Cali are very suspicious but this one seems like suicide

Gotta be because some of these states still have lynching laws on their books.

So there’s a major epidemic of blacks committing suicide now? :hmm:

No marching in the streets for that I see.

I think I understand your intent with your comment. I’ll be blunt with my response. For some, this has been a growing epidemic amongst Black youth for a while. People have been trying to raise alarms for years. This is easily searchable. Personally, Ive had family commit suicide. When I was at Morehouse, a schoolmate there hung himself in my residential facility. There are probably many more members of this forum who have been impacted by a Black loved one or friend attempting or succeeding with suicide.

Suicide rates in the Black community have been increasing.

People of all races use hanging to commit suicide.

Lynchings that leave bodies hanging from trees still happen.

Hanging from a tree is a little different is it not? Just about all these people were hanging from trees.

With all of these cameras around somebody has to see something right?

As much as Hispanics want to suck up to white folks.. their asses were lynched and hung as well.. they just don't want to talk about it because they're "better than us"...

100% agree with you. I would also like to think that a Black person who is trying to commit suicide wouldn’t choose that method but I’ve never been in that state of mind, only trained to work with someone who may be suicidal. Every training I’ve gone through has said the same thing, if someone wants to kill themselves, there is nothing you can do to stop them.

I find it odd that while we are going through one of the most prolific justice reform periods, there are hangings.

I work in the mental health field and we are seeing an increase of about 100% since the pandemic. Alcohol is a major contributing factor and sales are up 500% since the pandemic began.

There’s cameras everywhere. They can go back to the footage of the area. Unless there is a massive cover up.

That area is full of poor Blacks and Latinos and white trash. It’s where people who can’t afford LA go move. That area sucks bad.
