Anderson Silva says he is returning to MMA

Docs on ESPN said that as far as the bone, it will be the same strength as it was pre accident

What about those Screws? The Nerves? The Muscles?
The Psychology? The Movement?

All of those play will play a role

Why you think when football players have devastating
compound beaks on bones their careers are done.

Only chance you may have is to have them when you're young

What about those Screws?

The screws are embedded in bone and will stay there foreever

The Nerves?

The doctors know how to place the screws such that they do not
affect the nerves

What about those Screws? The Nerves? The Muscles?

Same as about. The physiological repairs are not an issue at all.

The Psychology?

This will be up to him, and how mentally strong he is. If need
be, he can talk to a shrink

The Movement?

All in the hands of him and his physiotherapist. If they structure
the right program for him, you wont even know that he broke
his leg before.

Lesser fighters have come back and fought after this injury. As serious as the injury is, there should be some degree of consideration for the caliber of fighter we're discussing. It's not a given that Anderson Silva is just done. It's not as though his skill set is so reliant on leg kicks that he cannot adjust to another aspect of his game being more of a focal point. Most other fighters, I'd say automatically they need to call it quits. Silva's not most other fighters. The injury may end his career, but it's not as much of an automatic conclusion as you're saying it is.

Ming breh

I been telling u this for the past 4 years

Let it go

In 2 years Kobe will be the same

Damn u bout to be depressed in these next couple of years

Silva should let it go. Every since he pulled a rabbit out of his hat against Sonnen the first time and won in final seconds he's been on a decline. Those white boys have been closer and closer to him and finally caught up.
He's been such a devastating striker that alot of his opponents were scared to really rush him and got caught standing, frozen right in from of him( i.e Bellfort). But, the last couple of fights he's getting easier and easier to take down and ground and pound.

The doctors say his bones will be as strong
as before. The doctors says he will be as
physically fit as before....So the only question
will be with regard to his mind.

I'm actually curious on how having all those screws will affect his kicks. Is there precedent for this? (In terms of an MMA fighter coming back after a similar injury.)
