Thinking about joining, but just wanted to get some of your insight just for general purpose.

Anbody got any insight on Prime America?

Thx in advance

Its a pyramid scheme. You report to the person who let you join in the group and you recruit new people under you. The best way to make good money is to recruit new people to work for you.

It is not a pyramid. It is "network marketing". With a pyramid you are where you start and can never advance above the person above you. That system is illegal in the U.S.
I do not care for PFS due to their compensation plan. I can make more money selling Life Insurance as an Independent Agent and not locked into a contract with them.
The way you make the big money with them is to build a team of agents all selling insurance, securities & real estate.
You have to decide if this is something you will obligate yourself to and work their system.
Everyone with a family needs life insurance. However, can they afford the premiums? If they own a home with equity in it, you could do a ReFi and cash out some of it to pay for the life insurance (Missed Fortune).
You can do this with the Insurance license of your State with or without PFS.
My two cents…. “ LICK ”

Prime America?

you'd have to search to see if it still exists, but there was a MULTI page thread about this...

most of it was argumentative back and forth between mr. skeptic and activation wizard if i recall correctly. entertaining and informative, nonetheless.

Very good insight, but it's all bad - dating back to the late 80's - insurance fruad, scams, shady recruiting practices, etc.... list is pretty extensive - don't take my word for it, just Google away.

Good luck.

I would have to agree with LICK for the most part. Pyramid schemes can be illegal and illegal. Hell, look at corporate america. It's legal but if it ain't a pyramid, then I don't know what is. A business, pyramid or not, is illegal when the primary function is recruiting and there is no product to substantiate it.

Did Primerica for 6-months. I think it is a great program for the right individual. I just did not have the patience for it at such a young age. It is like building your own business. The usual commission, bonuses and overrides but a good business nonethless. You get out of it what you put in and I learned a lot just in general about several topics pertaining to business that helped me get my knowledge base to where it is now.

I just know more lucrative network marketing or brick and mortar businesses that I could maximize my time better in where it not that dependent on recruiting and I can focus on a product. In my opinion, the concept is great but most "urban" families are not interested per se in you pouring over their finances and telling them there is a better way. It is cultural in my opinion and we just aren't there yet. Whites...well that is a whole nother thread.

It's a legit company. Get in and get some experience in the game. You have to hustle though. It's as easy or as hard as you make it. Shake some hands and get out there. The worst thing that can happen is that you learn a little about how to manage your investments.

Hey Dawg... A cat tried to recruit me last night and when we started talking about IRA’s I knew he did not know shit! The brother said the ROTH IRA is the worst one to have. For me, the ROTH IRA is the ONLY one to have!
It is a no brainier… IRA… Taxes are deferred to a later date when you receive payments. ROTH IRA… Pay the taxes on the invested (principle) amount in the beginning and receive your retirement payments tax free!
You can pay on the smaller amount (ROTH IRA) or pay more taxes on the larger (IRA) amount.
Sometimes the people in these things are only listening to the guy that is making the over rides off the group and that person may or may not know his shit!
Stay up yall!
