BGOL-
I view Obama's tough decision to cut Reverend Wright off today as very similar to the decision Malcolm X had to make in disassociating himself with Elijah Muhammad and the nation of Islam.
In order to create a movement that is more dynamic than the sum of its' parts, tough decisions have to be made. Great men have a vision of the future, which sometimes necessitates a clean break from the past.
I believe that in both instances, these men were dealing with others who possessed an enormous amount of hubris (Elijah Muhammad and Rev. Wright. I witnessed the press conference yesterday, the show Rev. Wright put on is INEXCUSABLE.) However, both of these men had performed great a service to the community.
Is this a correct association?
