Don't let niggas tell yall that detroit is super thugged out. It's no different then any other city. We jus got dumb people that fall into traps and are at the wrong place at the wrong time. I was on the phone with my aunt and she thinks that the suburbs are just as bad in metro detroit, all because the news said that detroit criminals are running out of people to rob so they going to the burbs. And she thinks that I have to watch my back because someone might jump out a bush a slice my throat. I swear niggas think that it's a ghost town where you have to go 3 blocks before you see another human and that we eat each other and live in sewers in shit.

Iraq? Iraq is a war zone, Detroit is a US city and for a US city it's a hell hole. If you live in Detroit long enough you will get into something with somebody. I went to school with some niggas from 6 Mile, one had a 4 inch scar on his face from being cut with a razor during a robbery. Another one was shot in the leg while waiting at a bus stop. These were college students that were high school nerds too, not some thugged out idiots.

man, I remember back in 05, I was riding through Southwest, going down on Livernois. I saw like 5 Mexicans beating on a couple. I honestly felt bad and wanted to help, but that would have been my ass too. The city is bad, innocent people get it too, sometimes worse than the ppl who deserve it. Anyone who lives in the D, or even travels has to be aware of the dangers. Being street smart can improve chances of survival. I grew up not too far from Brightmore in Rosedale Park, used to be nice, now is just as bad. I used to hang with some brothers from B'more.. Not trying to degrade the city anymore than it already is, just keeping it real. Detroit is fucked up, and a person has to be tough to survive.
