It is a city with one of the highest concentrations of millionaires in the country. Its also one of the highest minimum wages in the country.
The Aurora Ave. hoe scene exists because its allowed to, not because it can't be stopped. Its contained to a space between 90th and 145th streets along Aurora. If those dumb ass pimps tried to put hoes ANYWHERE else in the city, local police would end them. Try putting hoes in front of the convention center downtown and see what happens. Try putting hoes along 45th in the U-District and see what happens. Put hoes along Greenlake and watch all that shit end immediately. Pimp near a school. I dare you.
Pimps get one area so that local police can keep an eye on them and the johns because Seattle is realistic about the existence of prostitution and they figure its better to have them where they can see them rather than chase them around all over the place.
