Alexander vs Maidana Deal is Getting Close For Jan/Feb

BoxingSene.com has been advised that an agreement has been reached in principle for WBA junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (31-2, 28KOs) to face former unified junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander (22-1, 13KOs). The fight will be fought at that the welterweight limit of 147 pounds.

Alexander signed a promotional contract with Golden Boy in September and this will be his first fight under their banner. Maidana is also promoted by Golden Boy. The fight will take place in either January or February. Both HBO and Showtime are in the running to televise the fight.

When reached for comment, Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham advised BoxingScene that they approved the fight and were just waiting to hear back from Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer.

I think it is an interesting match up, but Alexander was on some real bitch shit with that I can't see shit. They were trying to give him time and see if anything was in his eye, but he was having no parts of it...

My original statement stands. Dude looked like shit against that Mathyse guy in his next fight after Bradley and pretty much got gifted a win if I remember correctly. Dude has no heart and an amateur style on top of that. I hope Maidana knocks him the fuck out.
