Alaska Snow Crab season CANCELED!!! Officials investigate disappearance of an estimated 1 billion crabs!

I like some of her videos and some of her videos but sometimes she sort of leave out information but generally it’s okay…..now over fishing is a problem but the biggest issue right now which caused the disappearance of these crabs is climate change. The baring sea has warmed so much that they had a damn typhoon a few weeks ago hit Alaska. We as humans have to slow down our consumption of certain animals and we have to hurry up and take care of this planet, even though I think we are beyond the tipping point.

This one I couldn't understand. If there's no real shortage of milk then why butter? Then I would have to assume it's all the fake butter?

Don't know why crab numbers are down, is there less fish or food at the bottom for them to eat?

I always used to watch Deadliest Catch and opelio crab always used to be the abundance of all crab as far as quantity they used to catch. So just found it weird.

I always used to watch Deadliest Catch and opelio crab always used to be the abundance of all crab as far as quantity they used to catch. So just found it weird.

Maybe all the dumb crabs got caught, leaving only the smart ones who know better than to go into those traps.

I went to a little Seafood shop around my way and I asked the lady how much a pound of the crab legs were. They were large clusters so I expected what she said which was $25.99. I asked did she hear about any shortage or anything and she shook her said and said "no, the big ones maybe but the small ones we just have to wait to mature."
I often go straight to grocers and shop owners when I see news like this and what they say is almost opposite of what the news says.

I see why we probably won't see a slowdown. Most of ours come from the North Atlantic in Canada here on the East Coast.
