Some kids can go the wrong direction while still in the nest... As a person that grew up around a bunch of black people who had good/ great careers/bizness I know some people that are dead, in prison, been to prison, etc other bad shit.. People from 2 parent homes with both mom and pops in the home, 6 fig households 100+ thousand- 200,000+ and still went down the wrong path.. I know block hoes that came from them upbringing and still ended up sucking 20+ nigs off from around the way b4 the age of 18.. Its kinda why for yrs on here I laugh how people always love to blame the projects, single mothers, etc whenever someone is a fuckup when I personally seen various scenarios up close and personal of black sheep that had lots of things going for them... Nothing is guaranteed some people will fuck up even when life has given them many alley oops

Parents can influence— strongly— but they can’t control.
I think parents usually deserve some credit or blame for how their kids turn out. But it can’t be automatic.
You would hope you instilled a good foundation where they know good decisions from bad ones, but some people no matter their color, race, or creed minds are hellbent on a niggary lifestyle.
Unpredictable is doing a lot in this post. Folks know their child/ren is/are sick and choose to ignore it and hope for the best.
Parents are voters and sit on juries — this ain’t ever happening.

Also people’s environments can push them in another direction. People grow and change in their 30s and 40s and encounter all types of new people and opportunities and obstacles. A good foundation only does so much.

Anybody kid go in any direction whether they are on the nest or not! It’s no exact science! But the law of averages just means that over time and enough people then the majority will be fine or ok with good parenting

I was gonna ask you to give a brief insight on this matter. Figured since youre in kids lives more than many of us.
College is a great example of how kids go rouge asf.
Many have preexisting issues leaving, but some come from genuine homes where it seems everything was all good.
Get kids around the wrong groups, and a lot of teaching parents thought they were doing goes out of the window.
Hell, I think what’s surprising to me are the ones that can get hooked on alcohol at 18/19 years old.
As a parent, you hope you do what you can to raise a child to make good decisions, but ultimately they think and make decisions for themselves.
It was coming from a good place! Better me here than some cac elsewhere.
