It looks like Omarosa Manigault just can’t catch a break these days. According to The Blast, the former Apprentice star – who parted ways with the Trump Administration earlier this week – is now facing yet another problem with the government. Just days after sparking a media firestorm for her unceremonious departure, it is now being reported that Omarosa has been slapped with a hefty tax lien.
Uncle Sam Wants Money: With all of the reports circulating about Omarosa Manigault and what really led to her decision to resign, news outlets have uncovered detailed about her tax lien. The publication reports that Omarosa owes taxes for three years and the collective total comes out to $30,706.79. According to the court documents obtained by The Blast, she owes $21,811.08 from 2005, $1,658 from 2012 and $7,237.67 from 2014. Below is a capture of the court documents:
Drama On Top Of Drama: The latest news about Omarosa’s tax lien follows a massive news cycle about her departure. On Wednesday, December 13, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the former reality TV show participant – who served as the director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison – had resigned the previous day. “Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities,” Sanders said in a statement provided to the Washington Examiner. “Her departure will not be effective until January 20, 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service.”
You can probably guess how most African-Americans reacted to Omarosa’s departure. She was dragged all the way to hell and back for her unwavering support of the Trump Administration. Although Omarosa was the only woman of color in the White House, Sanders adamantly defended the White House’s diversity, reports The Hill. “We have a really diverse team across the board at the White House,” Sanders told reporters at the daily press briefing. “We always want to continue to grow the diversity here. Something that we strive for every day is to add and grow to be more diverse and more representative of the country at-large and we’re going to continue to do that.”
Shortly after the reports began circulating, Omarosa even revealed she was the only woman of color in the White House and admitted she saw things that made her “uncomfortable.” :But when I have my story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House; as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people. And when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear.”
Regardless of what Omarosa has to say, people are not tryin’ to hear it. Her “black card” has been deactivated just like her White House access pass.
