some facts that some may not know... Gene Simmons used to date Diana Ross... also he managed Micki Free and told him he should sign with Shalamar.

Not sure if any older heads remember the song "Instant Replay" by Dan Hartman. Got a lot of play on black radio back in the late 70s.... anyway, Kiss' former guitarist Vinny Vincent played on it. Liked the song when I was 9, but I hadn't ever even seen the video for it until a couple years back. He's a weird looking guy so he immediately stuck out. I remembered it from when Kiss took off their makeup for an album. Only really struck me as weird because considering the time period, a rocker like him (gasp) playing on a disco song.... I bet he was praying none of his fans ever peeped the video in the early 80s disco sucks years.







As for the band itself; my parents owned a record store in a black city back in the 70's and we got a decent amount of rock fans coming in, so I remember seeing their albums. In my neighborhood though, they only really registered with us when they had a TV movie where they played aliens or some shit. We were all psyched to see it for some reason; and of course it was a horrible movie
Had a few songs I'll enjoy driving too on occasion if I happen upon them while flipping through stations (Lick it up, Detroit Rock City and of course Rock and Roll All Night).
