Lightweight contender Adrien Broner (24-0, 20KOs) and WBC interim-welterweight champion Robert Guererro (30-1-1, 18KOs) went to war on Twitter. The two fighters, both promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, exchanged a series of wild tweets with neither boxer holding back. Broner claims Guerrero provoked the battle, but Guerrero claims Broner called him out in a recent interview.

Some of the items shot by Broner.

"You can't deny talent. Be real with yourself before your pride gets you f***ed up

"Just look at it like this, you beat Vincente [Escobedo] clearly but I STOPPED HIM."

Guerrero came back.

"I dropped him 3 times, you weighed in 3 pounds over [the] weight [limit]! You are a fighter, does 3lbs make a difference?"

Broner said:

"3lbs don't make a difference, that's why I'm willing to jump up 3 weight classes to kick your ass."

"Let's be real, you know I'm the man when I got 147lb guys trying to make a big fight with me cause they can't sell they self."

Then Guerrero Replied:

"I'm not trying to sell nothing! Didn't you call me, Marquez, and Pacman out? You called the big boys out, I'm not letting it happen!

"Jump up 2 weight classes & beat the #1 contender! You're a good lil fighter coming up, but you are a rookie!"

"Move up to 147 where I'm at now! The big boys and let's lock & load! You're 10 fights young & 5 titles away!"

I follow Broner on twitter. He was also getting at Billy Dib. He was like "50 and Floyd both know I'm better than you.." Dude is a character. Dude is nice with the hands, but I am interested to see him in with a real threat and challenge.

Guerrero: I Have The Speed, Reach To Outbox Cotto!

Last month, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero moved up two weight divisions to capture the interim WBC welterweight championship when he defeated Selcuk Aydin via unanimous decision.

BoxingScene recently spoke to Guerrero who is looking to possibly move up in weight again. Guerrero, who captured his first title in the featherweight division, would like to face Miguel Cotto in December and likes his chances versus the former WBA junior middleweight champion.

"I believe I have the speed and reach to outbox Cotto. Skills win fights not weight and I'll do it with no catch-weight or stipulations like a real throwback fighter would do," Guerrero told BoxingScene.

Cotto's team has Madison Square Garden reserved for his December 1st ring return. Guerrero said that he has no problem traveling to New York where Cotto has received tremendous support from his fellow Puerto Rican fans over the years. The Ghost has fought on the road before. He recaptured the IBF featherweight title when he traveled to Denmark and knocked out Spend Abazi in 2007.

"I absolutely would travel to New York. I went to Denmark on two weeks notice. Real fighters fight anywhere with no stipulations. I walk the walk not like these others so called pound for pound champions. It would be an honor to fight Cotto in New York City. It would be a great fight for the fans," concluded Guerrero.

:hmm:Did I miss something or did someone at 147 call him out, and if so, point him out so I can slap him.

Broner is mad nice with his hands and I can see him beating Guerrero on pts clearly but this was all true right here...

A lot of these young fighters need to be told this.

Including the Ghost. I find it funny that dude is trying to son Broner for looking exactly like he did when he was calling out Floyd:lol:

I know I'm gonna get torched for this, but I like a Mayweather Guerrero matchup. I, by no means think that the Ghost can win that fight, but I think if he settles in to his weight he can make a hell of a fight. He looked like a 5'8" prime De La Hoya his last fight and that's the type of fighter that can give Floyd problems.

Guerrero needs to stop that shit. He threw 2 punches against Mayweather. I almost called him out after that fight!
