- What are the sign dimensions?
- What material will the ad space of the sign be made of?
- Is it double sided?
- Is it illuminated?
- Are there any relevant zoning restrictions on colors or content used in that area?
- Are there any restrictions on colors imposed by the printers/ sign makers?
- What resolution, how much bleed, and what formats do your printers/ sign makers require?
- What colors/ themes are most prominent inside the establishment?
- As far as you're concerned, what information MUST be on the sign?
- Do you have any other media associated with the establishment whose pre-existing themes/ artwork you'd like to replicate?
Why don't you pay the artist his/her worth, then maybe they'll produce quality work. I have a sneaking suspicion you're trying to 'low-ball' a "nicca" 'cause that shit is:

Just make it a BLUE Waterfall, about as wide as the current sign. It could collect in a small pond...throw a few lights in it to illuminate it at night. No text at all. PLUS, you could build it with stuff you can get from Home Depot for very little.

Suggesting slam pay someone on BGOL to do something for him. That's like putting the father who took care of you your whole life in an old folks home. I wish i knew how to, I would do for free Slam.

You can work with the second design - you won't get tired of it after a year and the sign will still keep its color. It looks good on the giveaway black T-shirt or Hat for those 2 for 1 dance segments - if you have that.
