my moms use to play sam cooke records all the time when i was a little kid
and i use to hate it ,but now that im older,i love to listen to him.his voice compares only to stevie wonder [my favorite],marvin gaye,luther vandross,etc... r.i.p. ask your moms about sam cooke and she will smile

No question. Probably my fave male singer. My dad got my brother and I into Cooke, The Temptations, Ben E. King, Gaye, The Supremes and others in the late-90s.

Was anyone else feelin' the audition on AI6 in recent weeks from JIMMY MCNEAL? He did the "Another Saturday Night" + "Cupid" medley here ... made it to Hollywood week (172 people), but wasn't able to crack the Top 24 (from the 100,000 + contestants in all). I was hoping he'd make it quite a distance this year.
