i'll make this simple. no this isn't spam or anything, i'm opening up 4 locations to do this in the next 7 days. it's too easy, too obvious and anyone with half a brain can do it and avg profits of 4k or more per month.

what's one of those things that everyone needs to do? pay bills. utiilities, credit cards, services, etc. nowadays most people are not capable of paying with check or credit card, they have to pay cash. paying with cash is probably the most inconvenient method of payment nowadays for a lot of people at the same time, finding a place that will accept it.

what i'm starting in addition to what i already do is opening up bill payment centers. they require a very low startup investment.

how it works

basically your setup through a POS system that allows you to accept payments for anything utilities, credit cards, car notes, mortgages, etc.
you charge a fee for your service, say 5-7 bucks. (i do bill collect in my phone stores for carrier services already and i charge a 7 dollar fee)
usually the bill company may take 2 bucks of that, the rest is yours. doesn't sound like much? read on.

Where to do it

i signed leases to four very large apartment complexes, they types that have the in building services such as barber shops, hair salons, dry cleaners,, etc. (there's a lot of those around northeast ohio) the average complex that i'm in has 900 units. my rent varies from 350-500 depending on the location to setup shop.

How the money adds up

let's say in a 900 unit complex we will say each one has an avg of 4 bills paid monthly. of course every last one will not come down there so we will say 450 come in and pay 2 of those bills @ a $7 fee. that's 900 processing fees collected. that's 6300 bucks your cut of that is 4500. sounds easy huh? it is

what do you need

a computer
a location
a cash drawer with maybe 50 bucks in it for change
a business checking account
an account with a POS billing system company

that won't even come up to $1000 bucks in startup fees

Will it work?

Yes, it will. I have done billpay just for wireless carriers for years. I make rent alone for 2 of my locations just on accepting payment for Revol wireless in ohio. Think what you can do in a place i have just described. person just has to walk to your office to pay their car note, their phone bill, and electric bill in one spot? it's convenient for them.

Can you do anything else with it?

yes. because i already phone stores i'm throwing a few prepaid phones in there and sell satellite service out of there as well. (that's a no brainer for me)
you can also do things such as sell prepaid pins from online suppliers.

Wow....$7?

You must be working with those people without a computer and internet access...because I pay all my bills for free directly on the websites for my gas heating bill...electric bill...water bill...mortgage payment...credit card payments...phone/cellular bill.

There are local stores running payment centers for utility bills...but they are charging $1 per payment...and 10 or 15 years ago...some of them were only charging 25 cents per payment.

Great idea. Thanks. What are some good POS systems and do you have to check with the local utility and telephone providers to integrate the system.

Also that is a great idea setting up offices in big complexes. Do you let the complex know what you are setting up?

fees that i pay for bill processing:

standard $.37 cents
if the bill being paid is considered "not online" by the processing company their is a 1.50 additional fee

now those bills post within 48-72 hours. with t he company i use you can do overdue bills, something a lot of companies cannot do for same day posting for an additional 2.50

and yes it's true about being able to pay online, but that many people do not have access to credit cards or may not have bank accounts. that's why check cashing locations thrive on cashing payroll checks. in my stores now and most stores around here standard bill pay for wireless phone bill is 5 bucks. to call in and pay most of my bills directly to my accounts they charge a convenience fee of 5 to 14 bucks.

the piggley wiggles around here have the payment game on lock....unless you come with the drive through our market would be hard to break into....

slamming info. Now if I could just find out how to buy phone lines that charge the caller per minute from the phone company. I want to start a chat line but with a special twist.
