I hear you but I can tell you if you've known anyone who suffers with sickle cell believe me they'll want to try this cure.
Maybe you didn't catch that I said I wouldn't try this on my kids. Both my children have it.
Have been looking into many courses of how to cure what they have out there for over 20 yrs.
There are people cured in the US but have been doing bone marrow treatment which is using chemo as well to kill all existing red blood cells and put new cells which will cure them but many months of pain and medications along the lines of cancer type treatments...
Outside of the US there are other forms of stem cell therapy I have looked into. Majority of the things that cure this and many other diseases, they don't allow here because there is no money in a cure. Only money in keeping people medicated on opiods and various other treatments.
I don't remember you saying that they're suffering with it? I have the trait myself and I don't suffer from it. But I've known people that do.
It's easy to say what you won't do when your not faced with that reality. But when it's your child in pain suffering that's a whole different ballgame. Last night we possibly saw the beginning of the end to sickle cell. The method is radical but there's times when radical is needed.
This method could spur on new concepts in medicine. I don't knock new discoveries unless that discovery proves to be more risky or fatal than the disease.
If you hold the trait, I suggest you still take Folic Acid daily.
As to my kids, for many years, from my mom raising me to understand how the body works because she was an RN along with many other things because I became an EMT, I'm no doctor but have done alot to prevent attacks for years.
Diet plays a major role as well as giving my kids Folic Acid and a form of iron called Ferrum Phosphoricum which Dr Sebi told me about a long time ago. Has helped them for a long time along with taking multi vitamins daily.
But what I'm trying to explain to you, there are treatments that are being suppressed in America, that is available elsewhere like Switzerland, Belgium, and others that isn't allowed here because of Big Pharm.
Concept isn't new is all I'm saying.
If only you know how 1/10th of x-therapies are devised. Did you use the word "safer?" Also you do realize this is a form of SC therapy, correct?

Safer meaning bone marrow transplant, means yes I don't want to risk my children dying. Their bodies can reject the treatment.
Plus they lose reproductive organs. If you think that's safe then by all means, have at the Chemotherapy they are doing to you. There are safer methods of treating cancer and other blood disorders. Namely stem cells.
Research it first before implying what I say as ignorance.

Yeah, sorry, but I don't have a lot of faith in the many doctors who are trained by the very drug companies to administer what helps to keeps us sick.
Others look towards nutrition and natural methods as in boosting your body's immune system to fight off any disease. There are methods of using adipose tissue to heal damaged organs and tissue, treat cancer, repair tendons and ligaments that is being suppressed as I said.
Fair enough! It's not the first time i've heard the statement. Best in the care of yourself and loved ones.
