40 years ago... the last dragon came out

Writing intro for the sequel:

Taimak narrator voice:
"It is said that you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
Camera cuts to henchmen beating a guy up.
Random guy: "Please, please...I don't have the money. Please don't kill me!"
Footsteps approach. Camera pans slowly upward from shoes. Pauses briefly on the belt.
Continues upward to reveal Taimak in black and red garb.
Taimak: "As distance tests a horse's strength; time reveals a person's character."
Guy: What? What does that even mean?"
Taimak: "Without standards, no boundries are set"
Guy: "Look, just give me another week and I'll have the money"
Taimak's hands begin to glow red. He delivers one swift punch and the man keels over unconscious.
Taimak: Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up. Burn it all.
Close up shot of Taimak's face as the henchmen in the back set fire to everything behind him.
Flash forward to a young man getting home with a backpack on and his little sister running in front of him calling him corny, etc. (introduction to the new character)

Yadda, yadda, yadda...met the new Last Dragon, his family, learn his conflicts as he studies martial arts. Eventually, reveal Johnny as his "Mr Miagi". Mid movie reveal that Laura Charles was killed by one of Sho Nuff's henchmen later on as revenge for his defeat. Taimak flipped out and killed them all and ended up becoming a bad guy. The rest of the movie side-focuses on Taimak's redemption arc.
New Last Dragon visits the factory seeking answers. Ends up in a room with a single chair. Chair turns around and one of the Yi brothers is actually the Sum Dum Goy factory boss for real. Tells New Dragon that his quest is earnest one but his answers are not there. Then, he hustles him out of money as a comedic bit.
New girl. Internet influencer. Out of New Dragon's league. Daughter of a media conglomerate President. Dad hates New Dragon's viral MA clips. Daughter gets interested. Dad vows to dead the interest in New Dragon. Tie in association with dad and Taimak. New Dragon stops Taimak henchman from attacking CEO's daughter in a random street crime. New Dragon + daughter moments, etc. and so on. Dad hires Taimak to put New Dragon out of commission. All odds against New dragon. Set up. Trap. Capture New Dragon. Taimak makes his body glow. Gets ready to deliver death blow to New Dragon. Asks him "Who is the master?" CEO daughter yells "New Dragon, you'll always be a master to me!" Taimak stops. Remembers he and Laura Charles. He stops his glow. Reflects on who he has become. CEO dad orders henchmen to still kill New Dragon. Taimak, New Dragon, fight hench men. Taimak gets shot. Tells new dragon "Never stray from the path"
Dies. New dragon goes on to fight through CEO's henchmen. Tricks CEO to admitting to trying to kill him in front of daughter. New dragon reveals that he was livestreaming the confession.
Boom.
There's your sequel, complete with callbacks to the original and cameos. Flesh it out. Write dialogue. Done.
You're welcome.

So, Taimak is the perceived "big bad" for most of the movie, but Johnny is the Miagi aka white savior of the movie?! WOW............ (mostly joking, haha)

Also Taimak is 61, so unless you wanna spend 2/3rds of the budget on de-aging and using stunt doubles for the action scenes...... this is not going to work.

I literally wrote that off the top of the dome, homie.
And the last time I checked, Johnny is played by Glen Eaton, who is Asian. Also, if you remember, Taimak's "master" was also Asian, thereby bringing another connection in terms of similarities to the new Dragon. Since its years later, it would make sense that Johnny (the student) has become the teacher. Its not on some racial shit but what makes sense in the lives of the characters of the original movie.
There is no need for de-aging as Taimak would actually be old in the movie. Fight scenes using aging actors can be done with quick cuts. Hell, they do that every time Stallone or one of these geezers come out of retirement to shoot a movie.

Taimak is not the "big bad" of the movie. New Dragon's girlfriend's dad is. He hires Taimak to dispense with New Dragon. Taimak (Leroy) is the antagonist. Look that word up for clarity.

Budget? WTF are you talking about? How is there a budget for a movie I thought up this morning?

Everybody's a damn critic.
It was an idea spawned from my love of the movie. The first line of the movie narration explained why Taimak (Leroy) would be who he was. Leroy was always quoting Chinese proverbs throughout the movie. The in-movie death of Laura Charles is a subtle shout out to Vanity, who passed away IRL. Its supposed to give the audience a real-life moment of reflection via a parallel.
Anyway, it was just an idea; fan fiction at best.

I'll watch it if it comes on, but come on yo. Stop acting like the last dragon was a great movie when it wasn't
The beauty was in the cheesiness of it.
It wasn't gonna win any Oscars but it was something that you could watch without sending the kids out of the room.

...and I'm not even gonna front about my unhealthy obsession with Vanity at the time.
