"Abilene Christian’s Johnny Knox cranked out an eye popping 4.25 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine followed by Deon Butler (Penn St.) coming in at 4.26. Those times were unofficial. Also listed below are the official times. Darrius Heyward Bey out of Maryland had the fastest official time at 4.30 which as we all know is flying. Interesting note. The official times for the 40 yard dash at the combine are only “half” electronic. In other words, the clock is started by hand on a player’s movement and then the finish is captured electronically. This is as opposed to the clock being started electronically on the player’s movement."
IMO 40 times are worthless.
