4-10, 79 yards (most from a screen pass) is the greatest performance ever?

Damn the media is going crazy over Tebow's mediocre performance yesterday.

Man I feel sorry for Orton who has to put up with this shit on a daily basis....no wonder he isnt performing like himself

this dude went 4-10

40%

and his relevant completion was a screen pass that he almost fucked up

yet, the media is treating him like a god today...as if he put up Rodgers numbers

man, the media is building this kid up to destroy him when he fails

I dont think its right for either QB:smh::smh::smh::smh:

Sad, isn't it? The media anointed him as an NFL star...and he's not.
Rather than appear like the idiots they are, they'll build him up to appear correct in their assessment of his skills.
When he falls, they'll turn on him.

The exact opposite is happening to Cam Newton, and it brings a smile to my face.

Not once have I heard an analyst say that Cam is the clear front-runner for rookie of the year. He's done more with less, with the addition of the highest expectations and unwarranted criticism. They are 1-4, but they've played some very competitive games. He's done what you want every rookie to do...not lose the game for you.

You would think that Chris Leak never existed and that Tebow single-handedly won that first national championship. Don't get me wrong, he did his thing in college and no one can dispute that, but the pedestal they put him on as a player is ridiculous.

smgdh they actin like tebow is so damn good. im not hating on him, but develop him, dont rush him. dude aint throw for 150 yards yet, let alone do half the shit scam newton did and they treatin him like he dan marino in this bitch....at least scam was doin tom brady numbers in the beginning...get them W's though!

The guys on NFL Network love them some Cam.

I actually think Cam and Tebow are very similar, with the difference being Cam is a much better passer. They both possess all of the intangibles that you look for in a quarterback. He came from a winning program in college and he just makes plays when he gets in the game. I think Denver had zero first downs before he came into the game and he almost brought them back.

If Denver does with Tebow what Carolina has done with Cam and tailors the offense to his strengths (spread formations), they can find some success.

1. Cam and Tebow comparisons are ridiculous.....

2. You need to be an accurate passer in the nfl period...the window is that small

look at that catch llloyd made with one hand....tebow has to do better than that...

3. a spread formation in the nfl bruh? dude there is a reason that shit isnt run in the nfl like that....

The media had to pump tebow up. It doesn't look good for him if his college back up if doing so well and tebow can't seem to even get off the bench. Because we all know tebow is better than cam at every level. :hmm:

Tebow isn't a good enough NFL QB to do that with.At best he can be used in a few formations specifically tailored for him as a change of pace. He's not accurate,he has a funky release, and he still isn't ready for the speed of the game and once teams start throwing different looks over the course of a game he'll have issues.Cam is a threat to throw for 300 yards and run for another 100.Tebow could run for 100 but he isn't even a threat to throw for 200 yards.

lol, he is the next Brady Quinn...and Quinn is his teammate  Ironic as fuq. He sucks, but the White media, shit, I say that like there is a Black media, but the media just loves them a White boy. Great college QB, far from an NFL caliber QB. Not even close.

I don't think the comparisons are that ridiculous. Sure, Cam has proven to be much more NFL-ready than anyone could have anticipated. But I was speaking about the intangibles.

Yeah, Tebow has terrible mechanics and struggles with his accuracy, but he was moving the offense down the field and his teammates started playing a bit harder and the defense started making plays. And while Lloyd made an incredible catch, it was still a nice throw to drop it in between the corner and safety.

And I am not talking about moving entirely to the spread offense. Carolina has incorporated more shotgun formations, designed QB runs, and the zone read in order to get Cam more comfortable in the offense. The same could be done with Tebow. In fact, Tebow scored one of his touchdowns on a designed run.

The team responded when Tebow came in. I think the Broncos need to look at that before their next game.

That is the coaching staff's responsibility to prepare him for what he will see each week and come up with creative ways to be effective on offense. But then again, this staff went 1-15 last year and lost their jobs.
