Got to admit, Ozzy's been surprisingly good. If he turns out to be the permanent answer at left tackle, that's a huge feather in Ryan Poles's cap. The thought of an effective 6'8" mountain on Caleb's left side for the next five years feels good to me. Now Ryan's got to do the same thing with the defensive line. Along with the first round of the draft, I hope he'll make a strong push for Trey Hendrickson who wants the hell out of Cincinnati. The Bears might also be a good spot for Haason Reddick who's going into free agency.
Hope he becomes a fixture, but Im also just glad to see them stacking talent at OL and having the coaches in place to develop them and put them in the right positions.

With the cap situation it'll be hard to bring in Hendrickson. Both safeties are free agents as is Nashon Wright, and Darnell Wright is about due for extension talks. And they can't get off of Grady Jarrett's or Dayo's money yet

The season was over when we lost our two best defensive players in Branch and Joseph. It was going to be impossible to replace the 10+ T/O those two create each year with non drafted backups.
If you didn't notice we had no intentions of winning that game. Dan told the broadcast team before the game he didn't want to make the playoffs if we didnt have a real chance.

Eagles won the SB last after shitting away the last five games of the previous season. I look at this team Lions in the same regard.
