Monitoring disturbances in the Atlantic. The season has been quiet. There have been a couple of storms sent out to sea that were really intense, such as Gabrielle, which is 140 mph. I'm looking at the storm that is closest to the coast.

Man, thanks for the continued coverage, As a Florida man (formerly @God-Of-War-420) it is a life saver to have a non hysteric actual source of information. You've literally saved me thousands of dollars in hysteria based preparation and a lot of headaches! Many many props and blessings!

Appreciate it, family. I’m glad I could help you out in that area. It’s been quiet this year. We don’t need a major disaster while Cheeto face in office and cutting all the FEMA funds.

The GFS and ECMWF models agree that a tropical system may impact the Carolinas.

Hurricane forecasters watch for rare, chaotic Fujiwhara effect

The dance between developing storms in the Atlantic could soon evolve into one of meteorology's most unusual and rare events: The Fujiwhara effect, which occurs when two storms interact with one another.

Here is the latest update from the National Hurricane Center. The track is showing signs of shifting further south, so the northern Florida and Georgia coast could see impacts.

Here is the latest GFS model run. Initial forecasts suggest a category two storm. However, crossing into the warm Gulf Stream could aid in rapid intensification. Heavy rain and flooding remain the primary concerns for the storm's impact.

Damn, hoping it miraculously weakens or goes out to sea for the sake of board members in those areas! Thanks for the updates as always!

Yes, crossing the gulf stream may intensify up to a category three before hit land.
