I hated the 2k series. The players just didn't seem to move right. If your main interest in a football game is the crap that surrounds the actual game then 2K is the shit, but as far as gameplay it wasn't as good as madden.

i agree. i had it. the players moved like they were on a swivel. Madden seemed much more of a fluid motion. but i didn't fuck with the basketball 2k series either until this year, so maybe i didn't give the football game much of a chance. but i do know that the nba2k7 series ether'ed nba live 07 this year. so i'll check out the new non-NFL football when it comes out.

Man I feel you...I hated the fact that the players had realistic movements (forward momentum, jab cuts, juke moves), and I hated the fact that it looked like the players where actually running instead of skating on a green background.

I used to play Madden myself on play station 1, but when I saw what was to come on Dreamcast I had to get the 2k football EA did right they made sure they did have to make anything better than what they had been giving you for years. I had even bought the madden 2k7 hopes of being different from the year b 4 So Madden has took their last from me! EA can kiss my ass!! Everything about the 2k series beat Madden. I really liked the QB dodge with the right joystick. That shit came in handy. I also liked that you could pick your own stadium music. Everytime I scored they would play "When I say weak ass, you say BITCH!!! WEAK ASS...BITCH...WEAK ASS...BITCH!!!" Niggas used to hate that shit...lol I can't wait for the EA license to run out. They can't hide from 2k forever, they will be back.

I was an old school Madden player from back in the day. I still played madden 95 on Genesis until I got a Dreamcast. My first game on the DC was NFL 2k. I have never looked back at Madden since.

I would play if over to my nephews or something, but it was not worth a buy to me. The numbers on Xbox Live for 2k5 have been dwindling so I bought Madden 07 this Feb. Three days later I read the announcement about 2k8. I sold my copy of Madden and bought a 360 and preordered 2k8 at Gamestop.

2k5 had madden beat all the way until now. I haven't bought another football game since. I've played madden here and there. My homeboys are like EA fanboys, not really wanting to admit when sh*t is garbage (based on gameplay and graphics) just because they've been playing madden for like 15 years. 2k has had about 3 years to improve and make a football game that will most likely sh*t on the NFL and EA.

Thats what I was telling this dude when I was at work. I used to polay madden on genesis cause it was the shit back then, but 2k came and almost reinvented the damn game. I didnt know you can preorder it already, shit Im ONs it!
