2-3-2 Home-Away-Home Finals Format

The NBA playoffs consist of four best-of-seven rounds.

The first three are 2-2-1-1-1 HOME-AWAY-HOME-AWAY-HOME

Then the Finals, for no stated reason that I know of, changes to 2-3-2.

Does the change make a difference as far as competitive advantage? Do you like the change? How can you justify the inconsistency?

Heard on Mike & Mike on ESPN Radio that home teams are 20-8 under this format. Don't think anything prior to the change was discussed.

FYI, the 2-3-2 format was instituted simply to cut down on travel.

I wish all of the rounds were 2-3-2. Thw playoffs take longer than the NCAA tournament.
