1976 Cadillac Mirage.......Rare only 216 ever made.

Fuck that old Cadillac. 1971 Firebird Ferrari is where its at. Fucking concept car :smh: it is beautiful up close. :crying:

the 70s cars were horrible! and this was likely a pile of junk too.

Damn never knew caddie made some shit like that... That shit is slick tho, def a collection item

Man you gonna fuck around and get traded to the Asians in the Racial Draft saying some shit like that.
gm & ford had 5 yr design life built in their cars during those years.

the thinking was...when the customer finishes paying for it, it will fall apart. they will either buy another or we will make $ on replacement parts & service.

Honda, Toyota & datsun had 3 yrs design life and were even bigger pieces of junk! they failed during the early yrs to gain USA market share.

then, the Asian auto makers upped the ante...built their vehicles with a 7 yr design life.

the thinking was... build it so tough that they will be happy when It's paid off, and they will buy another.

the rest is history. gm, ford, & chrysler (barely) got their heads out of their ass & improved long term quality.

ask your gp's about old gm & ford cars...and you'll hear the same thing:

"great ride! I was the man cruising in that caddy. but right when I paid it off, it fell apart."

Dam now that you mention it I saw it too growing up. One of the funeral homes in my town had a gold one with chrome accent. The only difference was that it was an 80's model and not a 70's model.

They didn't make them in the 80's. They only made 216 ever.

I know that but I'm telling you that Wheat's funeral home had something similar to this in an updated version that carried the hearse in the funeral procession. I aint tripping off this one because I like Lac's. Hell I have owned two in my lifetime. A 78' Fleetwood and a 2002 Deville.
