industry peeps seem to have a habit of hoarding unreleased tracks

wonder what they waiting on...

I'm assuming Puff is gonna own the rights FOREVER with the way he deals.

And when he movie was released would have been the best time...25th or 50th Anniversary maybe?

Funny thing is I believe the original version of tracks shit.
I don't believe the song collabo that never happened shit.

Man I miss BIG so much.

.....Yeah we lost, & were left with Jay Z as the top rapper....

I agree, but maannnnnnn I can't even be mad at Hov for filling that role. Who even knows how it happened. At the time the only 2 other big acts were Snoop and Nas, Jigga came way the fuck out of left field.

:lol::lol:...yeah, jay thought his way to the top, his strategy was masterful straight up.......

....besides the Hawaiian Sophie shit, I first remember him through Foxxy Brown, I loved some Foxxy Brown, & Jay just popped up on one of her singles.....from there hit after hit after hit.......That's what I remember

I would have LOVED to have seen BIG and Pac get out from underneath Puff AND Suge...

but I don;t really think that would have happened or IF it did it would have been allowed to thrive.

Its like Jay was made for this looking at the path he took ESPECIALLY business wise from the beginning maybe these things are meant to be.

But miss Biggie so damn much I think there was another he was going to ascent to MUSICALLY and I think Pac was gonna ascend to a whole other level SOCIALLY.

Fam after hardknock life hit, that cat just had the game sewn up... and that was coming off the in my lifetime vol 1 album, which wasn't a bad album, but with BIG and Pac just passing it damn sure felt like if this is the cat BIG co-signed he just dropped the baton in the most important leg of the relay.

...Next thing you know this cat is everywhere in a blue bentley, heavy bass, and the orphan fuckin annie on the hook.

Like I was telling World, I'll never hate on Hov. Hardknock life probably would have happened with or without Big and Pac here.

But I agree with you as far as Big and Pac... Big was nice, he could have put put more dope albums, but the greatest tragedy of Pac will always be that he died at the height of his ignorance and that wasn't even what he was about

Yup, Yup......:yes::yes:, I agree.

Another issue, why didn't Nas fill that spot? It seemed like Nas was primed for that spot, and like my man said Jay Z came out of left field and dominated.

Not saying that any of these people with anecdotal information and stories about Big aren't telling the truth, but it seems as if whenever someone great passes or an event of significant sentimental importance happens, people always have stories that cannot be confirmed or that "they were there".
Like, "before big died, he called me and we kicked rhymes over the phone for an hour and talked about creating a group..." All you have to do is insert a rapper here.
...wait, this is half-true because though i was joking i remember talk of "The Commission" being formed.
Ah well. Tells you how influential he is.

 Yessir

if you had an unreleased biggie song that nobody else on the planet heard would you release it? or be the only one on earth with it?

Damn....
In Biggie case, I feel like I had to release it, just because thete is so little of his music his mim and kids.
I could understand saving a Pac track cause there is so much.
And the content...was it just a freestyle, a full song, or some real departure from the norm.

you gotta understand alot of unreleased tracks are that way for a reason..
I think that new Michael Jackson single is not his best song AT ALL and there was a reason it wasn't on Off The Wall or Thriller or Bad..

Biggie may have the same issues..not EVERY THING he spit was certified platinum quality..

Good point.
I wouldn't want Big legacy to be hurt like that, I feel they did that to Tupac. Right now Big got 2 certified classics. While most dont have ONE. There is so much quality in the small sample we have if added to his legend. if puff did this on purpose he is even smater then i thought.

There's regular dudes that used to be in the game running around vaulting BIGs joints before he got on. That story about him being in NC was real. A studio called 7 Cipher or something like that where BIG laced those cats with so much material - it no longer exists - carwash now. Puff was on those dude's ass back in the day before BIG died but it seems like every rim shop and barber shop with some swag had a dude that recorded some type of BIG material. Heard Petey Pablo and Crime Family paraphrased a few tracks then tried to hire themselves out as ghosts but Crunk/Trap hit and took off.
